Que tomato debate...Although would not really use any other and when at this price stock up!

I thought I was getting a good deal on these at £2 at tesco! I've just stocked up for my delivery this week.

My personal favourite is Heinz, but they're not often on offer. Also got these at £2 from Tesco, but will grab some more at this price tomorrow. Thanks Op.

Really good price, lowest I have seen them for - thanks.

Don't they do them at Asda once a year for £1 for four? Or am I dreaming lol ???

That would be 'cue' tomato debate. Personally I just buy shops own basic range. No difference culinary wise. Hell this tomatoes we're talking about. It's this kind of accepted food snobbery that helps push and accept unsurmountable basic foodstuff price rises up.

I always find it funny that people think you are a snob if you appreciate something that tastes better and is a better quality. Basic range supermarket stuff tends to be more acidic and have chunks of tomato ends in it. I am all for using that sort of tomato in say a curry where they are better suited but if making a bolognese or another tomatoe based pasta dish these are better

Don't be silly..if there wasn't such 'food snobbery' then there would be no market for Napolina etc tomatoes and everyone would buy the basic tomatoes you buy, pushing the price up through an increase in demand.

They are NOT a quid each!
