We got 24, but they got used up very quickly - we used tomatoes for everything!

I am a little unsure as to whether they are overpriced @ £3.89 anyhow....

Ever looked at a word more than once and it doesn't look as though it is spelt correctly? Whether is one of those words.....

They are overpriced..

Yep!

"Gadge", is that the correct spelling?

No-one will ever know!

Tomatoes have NEVER been £1 a tin, despite the current rip-off prices. Tesco or Morrison's Value range at around 37p a tin are overpriced, but better than this deal, and the tomatoes are just as good.

Yes, but in this case, maybe it is because "wether" is a real word too!.... Baaaa :whistling:

I love these on toast, heavily coated in spices, salt, pepper and cheese!

Unless you rate paleness, lack of sweetness and watery consistency as desirable features, you are wrong, very wrong! I even have Morrisons ones in the cupboard at the moment as well as Napolina, so I am very sure of the difference!

Even most Supermarket premium ones don't come close to the Napolina ones, it is one of those products which does take a bit of beating, and a lot of discussion on these has taken place in the past already!

I only buy them when they are on some offer or other as they are far too expensive otherwise, and tend to use them only for dishes that particularly need the better quality, not for slinging in to bulk up some everyday meal.

I think the most I have ended up paying is 2.19 for a 4 pack in Somerfield recently :-(

Odd, as most other Napolina products are usually a bit ordinary!

WAY over priced - nobody in their right mind should ever pay £1 for a tin of tomatos!!!!!

Wait - better offers come. Then stock up.

I'm pretty sure the 400g Napolina tins of tomatoes are 2 for £1 in Asda at the moment, and that includes the versions with herbs or garlic, not just the plain ones.

I've tried these, Asda, Teso, Aldi, Lidl and found out that the KTC brand are as good as these ones (and best ones) anywhere. I got 4 for £1 from my local asian area in the fruit and veg shops (useful for our cooking as we use if for everything too).

My suggestion, get some from there first and you'll be surprised how good they are! (btw, I go to Normanton Road in Derby as it's better than Hyson Green in Notts as I live in between them!)

I agree with you with tinned tomatoes, to me basics value range are the same, lucky me! but each to their own though. When it comes to baked beans basics just don't cut it, HP, Branston, Heinz are actually better than the basics. Tomatoes you end up mixing it in your food, maybe thats why I don't care.

Living in Coventry, I am spoiled for ethnic shops, and while I agree KTC are a good flavour and well worth buying, I can't remember the last time I saw ANY canned tomatoes at 25p a can! The price rise came a good while back.

They are certainly not NEARLY that cheap here!
