My friend booked one and she is not a student - don't think it asked anywhere in the booking process if she was.

Do you think that when you or your family are really ill and need a doctor or nurse, dont' forget, they were students once and unlike many people, actually wanted to succeed in life.

I am a student and can safely say that a decent percentage, maybe around 20% are not at uni to succeed, they are at uni because mumsy and daddy wanted them to go. With the choice of courses on offer its questionable whether the 'range' available is a good thing as do you really need to go to university to study, for example sowing? or golf studies?... the list goes on. A purge is needed on pointless courses as its a waste of people's time. Doctors, nurses, teachers, engineers, chemists etc are all worthy degrees. Ask around your local sainsburys, asda or tesco for the shelf stackers or till operatives if any of their staff went to university and a collective "yes and I did business and i've been here (insert number of years here)" will be heard! For the record I'm studying Structural Engineering, hence my somewhat low view of what I call 'pointless courses'.

As for the deal, great offer if you can find something you need, not anywhere near as fast as the train but for £1 I'll quite happily take a longer journey.
