National express is great now as you can Fart and it gets drawn away not like a few years ago when it would suffocate everyone in there especially a hot day...

Farting? Least of your worries if the person next to you forgot to wash or use deodorant.

Higher likelihood they will too if the ticket costs hardly anything, at least that's my experience of the free refills when buying a coffee in Wetherspoons.

What a huge difference between coach and train fares...!!!
BTW - Thanks for posting OP.
Never used them again after these muppets made us wait 5 hours out in the cold because of drivers shift issues. Was a student back then so couldn’t afford better. Appalling service.

It's surprising how National Express don't spend more of their marketing budgets advertising the fart extraction capabilities of their newest buses. You should really contact them and let them know your thoughts about the matter directly

Nah, it's probably trapped gas
megabus uk.megabus.com/ have £1 fares all the time

you just have to make sure you book as soon as possible after the fares first appear on their website as i suspect there are a very limited number of them - maybe even only 1 per bus

for example glasgow to london on may 20th is currently still £1

However around 10 hours sitting on a bus isnt much fun & people with smelly food or who talk constantly are a right pain

air con is nice as long as they dont scent the air with something that makes you feel ill

ok for students maybe whose younger bodies can cope with the extended discomfort easier

I prefer Newcastle over Leeds.

I visited newcastle some years ago during christmas and it was unpleasantly cold. I plan to go to newcastle again this summer and wander around the city centre shopping area.

I have never been to leeds. I hear people say newcastle is really nice, but i have never heard people say the same thing about leeds. They just say it is busy

Nice shops!
They are always slower than Megabus for some reason. An extra hour in some cases. Coaches are nicer though
Sn-ap is much better imo on price and comfort, particularly for trips Nottingham <--> London and Derby <--> London.
£1.50 London to Brum to drop you off dead opposite the Peaky Tours! peakytours.com/
hot
My nephews when they were students over 10 years ago would get similar offers, what national express do not point out this is specific stops - well only one London stop -Victoria only but its not really clear.

You can cheekily check departure times for other London stops (Marble arch, baker st, hammersmith, golders green) and London airports and see if there is a £1 fare to London fare but then get off early on them London stops anyway - it is London, some bus drivers do not like this but if they have to stop and you get off, not much they can do about this

The best thing about both of those places are the ring roads so you don't have to enter them.

I go to Newcastle loads, sometimes I drive, sometimes I go by bus especially if drinking and having a meal during day. It always feels colder in winter there than when I'm at home in Teesside, I can feel the temperature change.

I've only been to Leeds once, I stayed in Bradford as cheaper travelodge for 2 nights and we took the bus into Leeds... My boyfriend didn't like Leeds, I didn't mind but prefer Newcastle. Maybe I'd change my mind if I spent more time there.

I drive from Teesside so I usually go travel A1 then I park for free not far from Newcastle Central train station. I then avoid the really busy traffic plus I know of people who have gone into bus lanes by mistake and had hefty fine. There was a lot moaning about it other year that Newcastle Council had gained loads of money in fines.

I prefer getting a Go North East bus to Newcastle from here however I wish they ran them later, last bus back about 8pm.

Iv lived in Yorkshire, near Leeds, for about five years and had never heard good things in particular about the area but knew there were jobs.

However, when getting here I was amazed at all it has to offer. Yep Leeds is busy but has every shop you could want. The outskirts however are lovely and easy to get to - the countryside, parks such as Temple Newsam and Roundhay, stately homes such as Lotherton Hall and Harewood House.

Don’t let the lack of overall enthusiasm put you off giving it a go
I'd be too worried about who would be sitting with me
