still £15 @ Amazon & £17 @ Play.Com, wouldn't pay the rrp, but @ £6.99 I think it's a decent buy, prob more suited to the younger child rather than the 8+ it suggests, reviews are mixed, scores 3.4 / 5 from 90 reviewers but most seem to have paid much more

Thanks, reserved 1 in Cardiff.

Thanks but not so good reviews.

Reserve one for my 5yr old to have a play with - hope its gunna be suitable, worth a try for £7 x x

thanx ordered 1 see how it goes!!

Bet you cant see **** with this. Dont bother if you got decent camera with more than 4 to 8x optical zoon, then that fair better

My son has one of these. It may sound cheap, but it's a total waste of time, money and space. Useless.

My 4 year old son wants a telescope. This would be perfect!!

Perfect for neighbourhood watch.

My Dad got my son one of these for Christmas and I, being a keen astronomer, thought this would be ideal for him to start out with. Unfortunately the optics are dreadful so even at £6.99 it's extremely over-priced.

We have one (picked up at car boot for 50p), my 2&3 year olds love it to play pirates and thankfully aren't bothered you can't see anything through it despite the best efforts of both my husband and I. Not worth the price, even reduced, you'd be better off with a decorated kitchen roll tube ... At least that has a hole big enough for children to see through properly!

Avoid!

Will this be able to zoom across two gardens and through net curtains?

Jus' wondering, like...

Really, don't bother. It's useless. My daughter uses hers to defend herself from her younger brothers. At that, it's excellent. As a telescope, it's rubbish.

A £7 camera,,,,,,WOW your gonna get a beastly camera for that...

Bought on for my nephew, it's rubbish, can't see much through it.

I'd rather wait for the new IPAD...

We have one of these and it is utterly useless, the lens doesn't focus properly, the stand is far too wobbly and the magnification is really no better than looking at things without a telescope at all. Even at this price it is not worth it.

May be useful for viewing Space Station

I bought one of these for my son for a similar price in January, it's awful, you cannot see anything through it at all.
I really wouldn't bother, save your £6.99 for something else!

Don't buy this, its a real waste of money.

In fact its actually more like playing a cruel joke on your child. Believe me.

Isn't that what kids are for.... ? X)

Just used the cardboard tube from a roll of clingfilm or baking foil, probably better than this.

This is currently at 147 degrees, but most of the comments state how useless this is...
We too have one of these, and yes, it is totally useless, and a waste of many at *any* price.

136°c With my cold vote due to it being a pile of poo.

If you buy this all you'll be doing is putting off your kid ever being interested in telescopes/astronomy ever again.

Waste of money at ANY price.
