I know some people think it's fixed, but it isn't. It is by far one of the most regulated games ever. As others have said, the odds are just so poor. Top prize odds: 1 in 139,838,160 - so unless you've bought almost 140 million tickets, your chances are slim Second tier: 1 in 6,991,908. Again, very slim odds. Matching just two numbers in itself has around a 1 in 22 chance, so just imagine, you buy a Euromillions ticket every draw for 11 weeks, you are likely (but not guaranteed) to get back one win at between £1.80 and £3.80. Of course you could win more or less, because it's gambling. But with those odds, you are unlikely to see anything else. All odds and payout amounts are listed here: https://www.euro-millions.com/prizes By all means go into it with your eyes open if you want a CHANCE at winning a large prize, but statistically, it's very, very unlikely that you will get any kind of large prize and you're probably better off betting on something else. Because that's what it is, gambling.

it is.... move to the health lottery - more draws per week - cheaper - more chance of winning....

thank you people now get there and freeze yer buloks off! got to honest, we grew up counting change so we never played this scam, it is just common sense not to. If you are actually poor you'd have the good sense to not go down that route, our pounds went towards a cinema trip for Xmas (once a year!). Saw Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and then, later on, Crawl. Odeon Luxe recliner seats which was amazing. Enjoyed the first, the second was a bit cliched but still watchable (not a complaint!!). Fantastic freebie and thanks for sharing, we had a great day out. Btw, nobody asked for Lottery tickets, even though I had them (two lines, one for each person) in my purse.

Free entry to the Black Country Museum on a weekday so no crowds and no kids - definite heat

AbiSats

Someone posted that it included the British museum exhibition is that true? I don't buy lottery tickets and when I asked them at Tesco if the offer was on they looked at me blankly and said no. I only want to buy it for the exhibition ticket. (Although if I win it'll make a nice tag line to go with their, "just needed some change" stories )

Hadouken!

This is a fantastic initiative to get people to visit independent cinemas and experience something outside of the multiplexes. A substantial amount of lottery money funds not only independent British films, but also contribute to helping local community cinemas and venues. Despite what you may think of the lottery, the ‘good causes’ it helps, especially in the film industry is innumerable. There’s some brilliant films on my local’s slate - we’re going to try and get into the MIA documentary. Very excited!

Thanks OP will be visiting a local attraction this weekend and agreed Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is a fantastic place to visit and so much to see for all ages. At £28 adult ticket It is a huge saving. Get Park and Ride to the quay then your basically there also a very short walk you are in Gunwharf quay with discounted designer shops and lots of places to eat. Just to add SW train also stops by the quay area if you don't drive.

Helvetesfonster

This is fantastic, my daughter and I love going to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. I thought it was lucky that we could visit for free last thursday because the Queen was there, however we only had time to go around the Mary Rose museum. So now we can go look round all the other new displays. And the harbour tour is included! Yay! OP have some major heat from me! (highfive)

DreamsInBlack

Great for visiting the paid sites but all the Glasgow venues are free to visit at any time.

premierfella

Thanks, and totally agree of course. Having not read it closely I hadn't realised the standard ticket included revisits for 1 year! That now explains why some friends of mine gave me negative feedback on the cost benefit (i.e. if you only want to visit once £17.50 is apparently a rip-off as far as they are concerned - if you plan to dip in and out of it over the year I guess £17.50 is a bargain, which will be why the other half seem to love the place!)

marty-401

There used to be some good free places to visit near to us but since they received a bit of lottery funding (for a little cafe of something), they have since started charging for entry.

Last time I crunched the stats, there are only two occasions when it's worth doing the main National Lottery draw ("Lotto"): 1. When the jackpot gets to the maximum limit (£50,000,000). At this point, the jackpot prize fund must be paid out. If no one gets all 6 numbers, the £50,000,000 million fund will be paid out and cascaded down to all the other lesser winners - who will receive larger prize payouts than normal. 2. When they run special promos (like they did at Halloween) where they guarantee an additional "X" people are guaranteed to win £1,000,000 in the millionaire draw. This greatly increases your chances of winning over normal draws. HTH ;)

thekitkatshuffler

As someone who never watches the draw and just waits for them to email me any winnings, I had no idea of that change. I guess I'm the one born every minute! (embarrassed)

schnorbitz

Thank you. Feel even better about cancelling now.

cb-uk

That was the previous "old" Lotto version. The odds of selecting 6 winning numbers for the Lotto jackpot is a staggering 45,057,474 to 1 since they added the extra numbers. Surprisingly, Camelot seems to be quite good at hiding this information or still displaying the "old" 14 million to 1 rate......

dalipsinghno1

I was about to post it when I got this dup msg, any I was going to post it in Freebie as you earn 50 regardless, as I have seen other deals where you get money back which is posted in freebies like ClickSnap deals here you get 50p back after depositing £10. In my perspective even the Lottery is played for free after the £10 CB so even if you don't win a penny you haven't lost a dime and gained 50p... oh well lets see how this goes midnight when the deal expires

sidog

Additionally, just because you deposit £10 does not mean you need to spend any/all of it. I was going to post a current deal that gives £5.25 cashback but what's the point?

alexc100

How is it even possible that this very same deal was posted in Dec (although slightly less good back then) and it managed to achieve 900+ heat. Stupid website

Spend the minimum and you'll get more cashback than you spend -> profit.
