I've been waiting for Nationwide to finally come in to present and make an online banking app and now they have! Seems like the last bank to have!

Not really a 'deal' I know, but good for people who wanted to know!!

I know I found out about it on the off chance. It works very well, they obviously wanted it to be a good one!

I've been waiting for a long time! So I'm happy they FINALLY have one! So knew that other people would be happy too!
Good to know thanks OP.
Not on website or App Store.
Surprised no mention of it on website it's been out for few weeks
Excellent - been waiting for this
Finally!
Bye bye late night chats with the girls at Swindon call centre when I used to have to phone to check my account.
would never use my phone to access online banking. To easy to extract details if nicked. Good find though if you are a Nationwide customer

Not quite the last, Virgin (Northern Rock) are still in the dark ages.

Nationwide not a bank. They are a building society. So maybe they are one of the first building societies to offer a mobile banking app.
is this technically a deal???
Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks!
I've had this app on android for weeks

No-one claimed they were a bank. They do however offer bank accounts (actual bank accounts, not just building society accounts) so mobile banking is a completely accurate phrase!
Might take a look - I'm on the lookout for a different bank account as I've had enough of HSBC, but internet banking is majorly important to me. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks
they need to focus on their internet banking capabilities before leaping into the app world.
Still a clart on to use, as just the same as the website,
I have the Barclays app which just requires a 4 digit pin
Downloading... Hope it's good!
Heat given thanks!
Agree with tomthered, far too risky to have online banking apps on my phone. Am scared using banking websites on my PC, ever since websites gained the ability to infect you with viruses just by browsing at them. Doesn't even have to be dodgy websites either, I've seen professional (work) websites infected, shop websites infected, etc.

I now restrict online banking to my work PC with that hideous Rapport software installed, browser scripts disabled, and excellent professional antivirus protection.

Multiply that risk by 10 for the number of rogue apps kicking around.

Too much to lose for too little gain.

That said, heat added as this will be useful for those who do like to bank with their phone.

What's wrong with them? I find them pretty good, much better than the frankly appalling CoOp, First Direct online banking, and on a par with some others I've used.

Anyone you do recommend, out of interest?
I had no idea HUKD users were so paranoid! I'm surprised some of you let your computer connect to the internet at all!
It's called awareness my friend, not paranoia.
Cold.... Not for Windows Phones?
