Nationwide Building Society (NBS) offered exclusive ISA offer easy access with unlimited withdrawals - Flexclusive ISA @ 4.25% guaranteed till 31 October 2013 to Flex Account Holders in April 2012. Flexclusive ISA was one of the speacial offers to Flex Account holders in addition to Select Credit Card and European Travel Insurance. The offer was only for fresh subscriptions for 2012 - 2013. It was subscribed immediately and NBS stopped discontinued the product and another issue was issued with a lower rate for another two months.

I received a communication from Nationwide stating transfers of existing ISA from previous years and new additions for 2013 - 2014 ISA year are allowed till 01 May 2013. Existing Fleclusive account holders can take advantage of this offer and avail a higher rate of 4.25 till 31 October 2013.

Do you have any links to this. I am expecting a blank face and claims of no knowledge if I ask at my Nationwide.

This was the content of a letter written recently to existing customers

I'm a Flex Account customer and I haven't received any letter now or previously about ISAs

how do we get this?

This only applies if you took out a Flexclusive ISA this time last year.
Nationwide originally said that the account would not allow transfers in, from other ISAs. However they messed up the the T&Cs and are now admitting that you can transfer from other ISAs. The upshot is that you get 4.25% until the end of October - at which point the rate will drop to 2%, so you will probably need to move again.

Me either. 4.25% is a ridiculously good rate even if it's only for 6m.

I just sorted mine yesterday. If you are wanting to transfer an existing Nationwide ISA into the Flexclusive ISA then you have to go in branch and fill in a form. Swapped from a 1.75% rate!

That explains it. Killer rate. Very hot for those lucky enough to qualify.

I've been to my local branch after reading up on MSE about the recent letter regarding transfer-in's until the 1st May 2013. Claiming it wasn't made clear in the original T&Cs.

Several posters there have stated that Transfers In were not allowed at the point of opening, yet the letter from Nationwide and staff at my local branch state they were. I guess having existing topped up ISAs transferred into the 4.25% would've meant an increase in interest earned. Anyone else brought them up on backdated interest?

Thanks for the interest. Flexclusice ISA was offered for new subscriptions (5640GBP) for new ISA year 2012 - 2013 for a short period for Nationwide BS flex account holders as special offer and due to a error in T&Cs, Nationwide has now written to the existing flexclusive holders that transfer in of the existing ISAs and fresh subscriptions (5760 GBP) for the new ISA year 2013 - 2014 are allowed till 01 May 2013. The rate 4.25% is valid till 31 October 2013 after which it will be 2.00% In case of doubt please contact 0845 604 0296 or 0845 730 2010

so this a branch only account then ?

If its 4.25% for 6 months and 2% for another 6 months that means an annual rate of only 3% roughly. In my experience Nationwide usually make big noises about headline rates but you get less than you expected come payday.

I've just transferred my Online Issue 4 ISA into the Flexclusive. 4.25% instead of 3.10% for 6 months. Worth doing yo.

I rang nationwide, they said they dont except transfers into the flexclusive isa, only new money, so half % on 5760 £28+ not worth the hassle for me.

Yes. Its for existing Flexclusive ISA Issue 1 holders for fresh isa allowance for 2013 - 2014 5760 and any transfer in of other previous isa savings from earlier years.

Thanks for the heads up.
Just confirmed this on the telephone and transferred my money.
