This is a great deal, have it myself saved loads on mobile insurance as a result.

Over the last year had 3 phone claims due to clumsy children, 2 phones totally replaced, one phone repaired, totally recommed this sercvice , very professional

It would be fraud.
This been round for years.
This was £10 a month last year and an absolute bargain at that price. At this price it is still good value for money - the phone insurance covers both yourself and your family which makes it worthwhile.

I'm with Barclays and the Mrs is with Halifax and both have put there prices up for this how long before other banks follow suit??
The Reward Silver account at Natwest does that for £10 plus 2% cashback on DD bills (council tax, utilities, mobile etc), works on joint accounts too so you can get mobile insurance etc for two whilst only paying £10.

Edit, as pointed out Silver doesn't cover breakdown and only Euro travel insurance which are Platinum (£20) and up.

It says something about Reward monthly account fee, it looks like that’s in addition to the £10 per month, is that right? Just because I’m looking to do this

Checked and breakdown isn't on Silver but is with Green Flag on Platinum which is the one up.

Exactly how I look at it, thought twice about closing the account when the cost in effect doubled but then had to claim for one of my lad's virtually new phones and decided to stick with.

This is with the same company as most of the added value offers use but they seem to get charged higher excesses than this deal.

One of the good things with the travel insurance is they only charge for things you're having ongoing treatment for, my eldest had leukaemia several years ago and most insurance companies try to take you to the cleaners for things like that even though you're in remission, this lot don't care as long as actual treatment has stopped. Saved me a fortune when we went to the States the other year.

Don’t forget it also includes getting the bank rate with NO withdrawal fees for using the card anywhere in the world.

Yeah they introduce blue rewards where you make £4 profit per month....but they have put my account up to £25 per month from £18.....so I'm still worse off
74£ in intrest makes it 6.88 a month
The phone insurance only covers up to a grand so anything above a 64gb Xs and it won’t be covered
So Nationwide, or NatWest? What’s best?

When you claim they make a point in saying if they can't repair it they'll send a replacement and then if that model isn't available they will get in touch to discuss a suitable replacement.

Obviously you would only be covered if the damage happened after you opened the account. Last year I claimed for my 5 year old xperia S and they gave me about £125 for it (I had got it for £68 including 12 months mins and texts on a deal 5 years before).

In the past I have referred people to Nationwide as referer and referee both got £100 - is this offer still on too?
I'm with Nationwide and seriously considering upgrading my account to this. The only thing that puts me off is the drop in account interest from 5% to 3%. Yes they still do the £100 each switch offer too
When it was £10 there was only 2 claims per year now its 4

also don’t think you can get a referral £100for this type of account I believe

Your not loosing much as its only limited to £2,500 anyway for 5%
If you dont have the £2500, then the Halifax is £15 per month fir similar perks plus home emergency cover and the aa cover includes home start
Note: If you sign-up for a joint account, the benefits apply to both the account holders and you still only pay £13/month.
