Its been a long time since this was posted but worth a post again, especially with increased cash back from quidco. Includes Worldwide Family Travel Insurance, Car Breakdown cover at a person level and not the car, Family Mobile Phone insurance, Extended Warranty cover plus others.

Considering Family Worldwide Travel Insurance costs more than £120 a year this is excellent value.

Also remember about the £100 recommend a friend offer.
(£100 for new customer, £100 for friend).
I have this account and it's well worth the £10 montly fee.
Worth every penny

Me and wife both broke our z2 and z3 phones and they replaced with brand new.

Cancelled AA which saves £150 a year and cancelled annual family travel insurance saving another £140 a year.

Absolute bargain
Fantastic product, it is the only breakdown cover I have found that gives you up to 6 months continuos cover abroad. ( I am retired so make good use of it!)
I already have a standard nationwide account. Me and the wife use it as the house account. Can the standard account be upgraded to the flexplus and be eligible for cash back?

My guess would be that it's new customers only.
We upgraded our standard joint current account to this. Was simple to do, only negative is 50p a day charge if you go overdrawn, not that I ever go overdrawn.

Wasn't it Nationwide that used to run the adverts on the TV 'Brand new customers only' and they said they were different and existing customers could get all the same deals ?
Sweet.
Do you only get cashback if you switch accounts from a different bank?

Yes, as per Quidco's conditions in their Nationwide FlexPlus Current Account £75 cashback offer:-
"for an approved and opened new Nationwide FlexPlus account when you switch to Nationwide from a non-Nationwide current account using their full Current Account Switch Service"

yes cash back is only for switching but the rest is available by just opening the account, we don't even use the account just transfer money in every month to cover the fee.

Is the breakdown cover reliable? It's not a company I've heard of before eg AA OR RAC.

Thanks. This package seems like a good deal compared to others eg Barclays or natwest.

Edit - I read on another hotukdeals thread that if u put £2500 in the account, you get £4 interest, so it actually costs £6 per month.

Do you have to keep adding £10 per month, or does it deduct £10 from the balance?

Yes that is correct.. the £10 gets deducted from your balance but you can setup a standing order to pay in the £10 a few days before the deduction takes place..

I've had the account for about a year now and the breakdown cover has already come in useful when the clutch on my father's car gave up.. I think they use local recovery companies as they were there within 45 mins and were able to recover the car back to my home address..

I upgraded my standard flex account to this flexplus, no problem.
Is it possible to get the £100 referral as well as this ?
I have this account and I'm very happy with it. I signed up about 13 months ago (via Quidco/TCB) and that cashback covered the £10/month fee for my first year. I'm now continuing with it despite the £10 fee because I think the worldwide travel insurance and mobile phone insurance makes it worthwhile. Also being a FlexPlus customer gives you access to the new 5% Regular Saver and the 1.6% Flexclusive ISA.
Update:
Breakdown vehicle coverage extended to now include motorcycles, motorhomes, vans and pick ups.
