I got excited and thought it was a misprice on the one with the lights for each key
Just spoke to NI chat about this keyboard. Apparently if I understood the gist. This would also qualify you for the upgrade price of Komplete 12 rather than full price.

So I’ve stuck an order in on the strength of that. Cheers OP
Thanks Hot - finally pulled the trigger.

Did they say which Upgrade as they have two so seemingly as this doesn't come with Komplete Select you will have to buy the more expensive one which is $100 off rather than $200 off the $600 price.
Sometimes with NI it's better to pay more on the keyboard as you get a better software bundle which makes the upgrade cheaper.

“The M32 comes with the M32 collection which is a base product for a Komplete 12 upgrade from collections”

is what they said word for word

EDIT: Looking at comparison of the various Komplete 12’s I think you may be right. Even so I’ll still keep this order as it will integrate into my setup.

I had a quick look and I couldn't see any keyboard with K12 Select at a price that made sense as an alternative.
You'd have to buy an S Series to get K12 Select and they are much more expensive.

The only other option is to buy a new/old stock S25 as that would save you £100 when upgrading to K12.
Maybe around £200 on Ebay so overall you'd be paying about £30 more.
A much better keyboard in some ways but 25 full size keys versus 32 mini keys.
It has some neat features like the light guides etc but is bulkier and less portable.
If you buy one make sure it comes with the K12 Select license.
Double check as many sellers on eBay are clueless with software licences.
I could do with not being on my phone to see the comparison chart more clearly but I’m speccing it as

£69 for M32 keyboard > £89 upgrade to K12 Select > £339 - £849 (depending on how high you went up the K12 Complete Route)

As the full version is £499 then this way effectively means the M32 keyboard is free? Possible £22 voucher to spend in NI store too
Ni have half price sales on Upgrades/Updates etc a few times a year usually.
I managed to purchase on eBay from a major music retailer that was already a bit under half price, plus there was an eBay site side code for another 10 or 15%. Had about 60% off in total.

Sometimes these sellers forget to adjust pricing after the last sale so you can find deals weeks or months after they ended.
Someone has Komplete Kontrol S49 MK2 & Komplete 12 Bundle for £769.
The M32 plus K12 Upgrade is ~£510 so for ~£260 more you are getting a very nice £470 octave keyboard.

There will also be deals for K12 Upgrades on eBay but only from K12 Select.
WestendDJ have the S25 for £229 and there's the K12 Upgrade on eBay for £300 so ~£530 in total which is only £20 more than M32/K12 combination.

The issue with the M and A series keyboards is that only NI sell the upgrades so you have to wait for a sale.
Cheers man. That’s very handy.

Its the initial outlay I can’t stretch to straight away. I also figure I could do with learning in stages rather than getting over awed (over DAWed?) by buying big straight away.
Don’t forget you get a £22 voucher towards any upgrade when you register the hardware
