No problem...I had Komplete 11 with my S25 1st gen keyboard second hand (which im still yet to learn how to use!) and am very tempted to upgrade for £45 to Komplete 12 select.

Personally (as you can tell)I would hold off until its worth it for you. There is so much in Komplete you might not even notice the upgrade to 12 unless there is something particular you are after.

I think you're right...only just starting off in the NI world and there is just so so much to learn (havent even started on Massive). Looked at the upgrade instruments and without checking on my home PC tonight i could swear i have quite a few of the K12 instruments already.
I have K12 already and the only thing I wanted (Picked Acoustic) isn't in the sale. Voted hot anyway.

Thanks for posting. I look out for this every year because NI plug-ins are hard to beat. I also have K11 and agree it might not be worth the upgrade yet.

You're more than welcome. I do agree that the NI plug-ins are really good but can be quite expensive especially after you have paid all the bills etc each month. I'm seriously thinking of buying the PolyPlex Plugin as it does look quite amazing what it can do.

Ha ha youre right they are a little cosltly but if you werent aware NI allow you to sell on your license should you wish to. I for example had quite a few individual plug-ins duplicated when I bought Komplete. Anyway I was able to sell them on because youre allowed to release the license for another user.

Polyplex is great but just to let you know, in order to save your own sample banksets you have to have the full version of Reaktor. Youll be ok owning K11 though

Ah excellent I didn't know that. I knew about transferring licenses as i just sold my micro mk2 and got a micro mk3...couldnt afford the full blown mk3...maybe when the royalties start flowing in haha

Oh i think it must be the lowest K11 i have (it came with a second hand S25 mk1 i got off ebay) as it only comes with Reaktor player. Maybe i should knuckle down with what i have at the moment before trying to get too advanced and justify purchasing the full Reaktor.

Thanks for the advice though.

No worries im just trying to keep my eyes closed because Straylight looks very tempting .

On a final note if you're short on mastering plug-ins Waves have a Black Friday sale on at the moment too.

Excellent choice as went to listen to the demo of it on my lunchbreak. Oh i haven't even finished a whole song yet so mastering is on hold for a while. Still learning how to put a song together and the S25 helps with its chords instead of me just playing one note by itself all the time

There was some talk about NI going down the route of renting software the same way that Splice does...I'm signed up to the Roland Instruments ppm free trial at the moment as trying to work out how to play one of my fave dance songs ever 'Voodoo Ray' on the 808 I did get a cheat sheet for it, tried it on the 808, sounded nothing like it so actually tried it in Maschine and its a lot closer to the original. It's all good fun

If you login to your account online and then go to buy Komplete it will tell you which Upgrade version you are eligible for based on what is registered to your account. Some of the newer and cheaper NI hardware don't even come with Komplete Select any more but with the free version. That means there is no discounted upgrade path to Komplete which means it may be cheaper to buy a more expensive hardware model that comes with Select and upgrade using the half price offer if that's the path you are looking for.
Anybody found if there’s any education discount available for teachers etc. The site just seems to redirect me to academy’s that use NI kit?

They certainly used to but not sure they'd give an extra 50% off the EDU price.
