Is this any better than Google maps. Which is excellent?

I'm a courier and use google maps daily, its never let me down, its by far the best navigation app available
Waze is the best navigation app ever
Get yourself Waze. It's free and often people report on accidents or police cars.
Here Maps (fornerly Nokia Maps) has always been my go-to for offline gps. Really well made, reliable, very good voices and free

I've used MapFactor GPS (the free version) for a few years now, both here in the UK and abroad (places like South Africa where you can't rely on getting a wireless connection when you're driving). I consider it to be the most worthwhile app I ever downloaded to my phone!
Why choose this over Google maps?

Lets just say, for an instance, that Google broke, then you have another app to help you out and its free!
They say... Goggle maps if you don't know where you are going. Use waze app if you do. All the other apps have there good points, and no harm in trying them out but nothing really beats Google maps for getting you from A-B. Installed for interest

I use Here Maps too and find it excellent. No need to buy a dedicated SatNav when a phone and these mapping apps are free and as good.
Have a look at mapfactor navigation. It's absolutely brilliant. The Voice instructions are excellent and the 'at a glance' display makes Google maps look like a fifth form school project.
ain't free anymore
Take this offer down and stop wasting people's time.

Who are 'they'? They sound like idiots. Why would you use any app if you know where you're going?

Because you can't possibly know the exact traffic conditions en route, so you might get caught in a jam. If you don't mind that, then that's fine.

If you do mind being caught in a jam, then always use an app that's aware of real-time traffic speeds on every road, like Google Maps or Waze.

Yeah. You report road conditions and mobile speed traps ect. It's all instant social media type driving. Google owns waze and pulls some of the data like accidents as Google doesn't know why traffic is slowing in an area but waze dose from the reports. However. Touching your phone while driving to report is breaking the law now. Waze was brilliant for local driving and would learn your preferred routes rather than keep showing you one you don't like. Update. Given up with the above app. Downloaded maps but can't search postcode or address.

Downloading offline maps is extremely slow and finally stops. Is there any problem with their servers?
