not the best out there but still a good find

Its a good deal but If you can afford the extra £19.91 I'd suggest the Premium version, TMC is free for the life of the unit - Euro mapping, bluetooth and 2 years (8 map updates) for £16. Represents very good value for money!

You could get a tomtom for not much more, I'd rather have one of those

Or even better buy a really cheap Windows CE satnav and put tomtom on it, much cheaper

I always use maps and A-Z but want a basic entry level one for the missus nipping around town, would this do the job or maybe the cheaper Navigon one at Argos? Any advice appreciated.....

Purchased this a month or two ago (same deal). Very good nav system and you get European maps, which cost £80 on its own; voucher included to purchase 2yr license for map updates (~75% off original price).

The TOMTOM is better discussion is old hat these days, Tele Atlas - Navteq - TOMTOM etc are all much of a much...

Ta!

Avoid navigon satnavs like the plague. Takes ATLEAST 5 minutes to pick up a satellite signal which is very annoying, especially if you have kids who keep asking you why there just sat in The car going no where! Also compared to a tomtom they have very questionable routing sending you down backstreet for no good reason when it's just as quick to stay on the main road your on which will lead you to the same destination anyway! How do I know all this? I recently got a job as a driver and deliver to 30 different shops everyday of the working week and reliey on both my purchased navigon and my bosses tomtom. Also the USB adaptor connector broke recently. In the navigons favour it does have a very useful feature to input and save all my 30 destinations before hand and then let it get on with giving directions to each place in order.
