Now-a-days sat navs are a different breed than they used to be. Navman/Mio are very reliable and easy to use.
Map updates can set you back about £30 per year but with this, no need to worry.
Check out some reviews/video reviews on Reevoo or YouTube etc.

My garmin nuvi drops signal in London sometimes, everywhere else it is fine, this for 50 pounds is a great deal for anyone wanting a satnav, voted hot

Thank you for the helpful comments. Cheers.

Thanks for the post. Can anyone advise of a decent vent mount for this unit?

Traffic alert info >

eu.mio.com/en_…htm

Also if anyone has an Android phone I recommend two apps >

1. Waze online mapping only, Waze has just been bought by Google, Waze has excellent traffic information, possibly the best of any current sat navigation system.

2. Navfree which has offline mapping, Google street view! and speed camera alerts.

I personally use Navfree.

I'm just offering this info, I'm not saying this is a bad deal. I voted it hot.

Thank you

I remember the old times that you had to fork out at least £100 to get a 3.5" GPS. Just for a change...

Wish I'd waited and gone for this instead of the TomTom that was on offer at Argos.

Great find op, just bought one as has the missus. Been after a sat nav for a while and was looking at forking out around the £100 mark. My phone isn't reliable enough when I'm somewhere new, which is when you need it most. Heat added

Just ordered. Cheers everyone! Seemed like a decent price. Much cheaper than I had been looking at originally which was near the £100 mark. Missed out on the Tom Tom at Argos but this one comes in cheaper. So looks like a fab bargain.

Thanks! I've been using a Nokia 6110 Navigator phone for the past few years, and I'll be glad of the bigger screen.

Thank you esclad, just bought one. This is outstanding value for money, I have no idea why it only has 311° heat at the moment, when this deal is over 24 hours old now. This deserves a lot more heat, should have at least got 1000° heat at the bare minimum.

The fact this has free lifetime map updates is just brilliant, along with a large 5" screen, 3D junction views and lane guidance, nice user interface and all the other useful features, makes this a very impressive package. I'm also pretty sure it comes with a nice leather case too, from what I've seen/read elsewhere - although I'm not 100% sure, so don't hold me to that. For £49.99, brand new from a reputable company, I'm struggling to see any other Sat Nav which could provide such great value for money.

Thank you. I think you're right about the leather case.

You're welcome.

Actually, I am pretty sure about the leather case too now, here are the links for the same product on Amazon.

So I'm guessing that's what we will get in the box too.

Hope this helps hukd,

Does this package have a windscreen mounting plate and car charger like the one at amazon for £58.98?

Your joking right?

I have a Garmin Nuvi for work and its awful, its crashed on me several times, it takes you to some daft routes and it fails to work when your in central london especially in the city.

I have to agree with neobrown, Garmin are excellent; infact I think most of the aeroplanes in the sky are navigated by Garmin. (_;)
Try giving it a firmware/map update.
Or buy one of these.

I got a 4", that extra inch makes a big difference

Good deal. Just ordered one!

Thanks esclad - looks good for the price

Ordered, been looking for a new Sat Nav at a decent price. The leather case swung it :-) Thanks.

In all walks of life!

Ordered for folks, ty op

Great if it lasts more than a year like my mio m200 did. bought a tomtom start eu, from amazon on the maxim you get what you pay for and its still ok after 2 years, but just check the seller feedback over 2600 neutral and negative buyers!!!!!

henrypug

Great if it lasts more than a year like my mio m200 did.

Hrm. If the thing only lasts a year, free maps for the lifetime of the unit doesn't seem such a good deal. Hope I get a good one!

expire. listing ended

I've queried mine as it looks like its been opened and used before..
