With Freepost return for lost keys :-)
This service can cost a fair bit elsewhere but its available from Nectar for FREE.

Nectar to provide you with a key tag, on which is a 'If found please return to Nectar FREEPOST' address. This service costs a fair bit elsewhere but is free with Nectar.

Go to 'Your Account' online (or register if you haven't) and 'Request New Key Tag' from the menu on the left.

You can also request a Nectar Key Tag by calling Helpline team on 0870 4 100 100.

Following a successful trial in 2005 the Nectar Key Tag is seen as a more convenient way to collect points. It will ensure you don't miss out on points at times when you may not have your Nectar card with you as it attaches to your keys.

Hope this is of use to some

just done this and I've now got an email saying I'm going to get a replacement card.
I also want a key tag for 'er indoors, can't seem to order more than one

Original Poster

Could always ring for another?

I've only ordered one so far but will order another one at some point:)

does this mean that your old card will become invalid?

Original Poster

Depends whether your new card has a different number I imagine.

But I dont think it will but if this concerns you give them a ring and ask:thumbsup:

Col

cheers

Original Poster

Your replacement card has been ordered

A replacement card will be delivered to you within 7 working days. The card
number of your replacement card will be the same as the one you reported

Col

No.... the system treats it like a damaged card, so you get the same number.

Are you all thick? This is just like the Tesco key fob just has the added … Are you all thick? This is just like the Tesco key fob just has the added extra of a FREE return of keys if lost feature, you do not change accounts or anything like that. I have had my key fob for ages, how come you are just finding this now???

Lol dont take so much offence, its easily missed if people dont log on their accounts online.

No need to insult people's intelligence either.

Col

get a life dromorboy - sometimes its good to repeat things as newcomers to this get a chance to see them

what's a TESCO key fob?
you can't know what you don't know

Original Poster

Tesco key fob is a loyalty card that attaches to your keys so you always have it with you.
Look like this

Original Poster

Thanks.

I know most people probably knew about tesco one but not like Nectar.

Fact they offer the freepost return of key service is a nice little bonus too:-D

Had mine for ages as well, but found the bar code/ account number has been rubbed out due to constant rubbing against the other keys, the mag strip still works in sa!nburys hand scanner unit. Handy for filling up with petrol/diesel, just to hand over your keys & swipe.:giggle: if you remember to ask for your keys back:whistling:

I meant to sign up for Nectar ages ago, but now I finally have and have gone for the key tag too

Voted hot and repped

EDIT: If only I'd waited to order my books from Amazon, I would have got some Nectar points by going through their eStores link, I'd paid about £25 on Amazon (plus £5 from a Marketplace trader), but I ordered it either yesterday or the day before (I forget which).

Ah well, I'll know for future reference

Thanks, glad I helped

Argos isn't something I buy from that often, but I'll definitely keep it in mind just in case

Havent actually got a nectar card, although I shop with sa...... (lol wish I could put the name!)

Should I sign up for one???

(I know I sound dumb but...) Mentions something about a nectar credit card - do you get a nectar credit card if you register and if so do you have to use it? Or is this just like tesco clubcard

Original Poster

Nectar CC is completely separate from Nectar Loyalty card and don't have to apply for CC to get a Nectar card:)

Original Poster

I get most of my points from EDF by taking part in read and reward.

No estimated bills and works out I get about £25 a year worth of points for inputting my readings online 4 times a year lol:thumbsup:

Can also get N points at amazon.co.uk where you can't get quidco or rpoints

Thankyou, very helpful and I have now registered. Makes sense since I get shopping from sain.... every week

I really dont understand how the points work. I just looked at how many points i would have needed to fly on the very flights we are taking in March and it would have been just short of 400'000. It gets amusing when they say if we put 90'000 points towards it we could pay only £1370 to finish the balance. We only paid 1080 booking it with ebookers on our own. So using Nectar points would have cost me over £200 on what i paid plus 90'000 points. Go Figure.

Please be polite and respectful towards other members. Thanks.

I hadn't heard of this one but then I don't use a Nectar at the moment

Thanks for the info.

Well dont use the points for flights then. Use them to get money off your shopping. I save them all year and then use them at Christmas. I had £90 on it at Christmas.

ordered thanks.

Have joined nectar and am just waiting for my card to arrive - how long do they take because I am waiting to do an order for s..n....ys

If you log in online it tells you the number, so you could try noting down the number and telling them it?
