Is this*

Yes, only for First trains. Hope that helps! In Scotland all the trains are under one company, except the trains that run to London on Virgin.

Thanks!

Great, thanks for checking on that! That makes it even better.

Think id rather have 3% cashback at First Hull Trains via quidco than a few nectar points, quidco always tracks and pays up within a month

Irrelevant as far as this deal is concerned, but it's not just Scotrail and Virgin that run trains in Scotland. East Coast, Transpennine and Cross Country also run trains in Scotland.

I have seen this on another site, but effectively you can get 1000 free Nectar points worth £5

You will earn yourself 200 nectar points for each registration you complete with all of the First Group rail franchises in the UK and then linking your Nectar card to them.

Yep I done that, got 800 but not any points for First Great Western

To get 200 points per registration, make sure you do it by 27 April. After that date the double points offer ends and it will be 100 points per registratio, 500 points maximum.

Watch out for the First Capital Connect registration. From the link to create an account, it appears to work, but then you are taken to another page to link your Nectar card. It would not recognise my email address.

The only work round I could find is to go to the home page and then click the Nectar link. Click the option to link your Nectar card and fill in anything as the email address and password. This comes up with an error and then gives you the option to register. Take the register option and the same for comes up as on the other First Group Rail sites. Complete that form, including entering your Necatr card details and all is well.

Thanks for this comment, it really helped me, I didn't even notice them on quidco at first

Has anyone who purchases a weekly or monthly pass figured out how to get past the exorbitant shipping charge of £6? This is a paper ticket they're sending here.. It just doesn't make financial sense to purchase it online if I'm going to have to pay so much more.

According to Nectar and FIRST GROUP, the reward points also apply to certain (not all) season tickets:

nectar.com/col…nts

"Once your Nectar card number has been linked you will be eligible to collect:

A:2 points per £1 spent on train tickets bought online (excluding season tickets, Gift Vouchers, Travelcards and PLUSBUS)

B:50 points for the online purchase or renewal of a weekly season ticket (where available), 200 points for the online purchase or renewal of a monthly season ticket (For tickets valid for more than 1 month, but less than a year, you will collect points for every full month, up to a maximum of 2,500). i.e. a 2 month, 3 week season ticket would be worth 400 points, or 2,500 points for the online purchase or renewal of an annual season ticket.
