So 500 points will be worth £5 instead of the usual £2.50
Hot if true, I've got 22,000 points burning a hole in my pocket.
We usually save them up during the year, and they pay for the shopping over Christmas.
But will no doubt spend them all when this kicks in, it's simply too good to miss.

Thanks for the heads up OP

cool i have £47 worth will wait thanks

Just over £800 on my card, been waiting for this for 18 months! Hope they allow purchases of gift cards, I'll grab £1600 of Amazon ones :-D

Cool I have £70 so that £140 bet it only on certain crap things

I dont think I understand this, I have £47 worth of points on my card - what does this mean for me (sorry im new to the world of nectar)

Will probably be like the Argos fiasco they will allow Gift Cards for a few days till all the people on here have done stupid amounts then clamp down on it, spoiling it for the bulk of people that only want to do a couple of quids worth. So hopefully NO they don't do Gift Cards to save everyone disappointment

So points will be worth double, but you have to spend it in sainsburys so you points will be worth half as much. Great Logic!

Do they do this offer in other stores? or is it just sainsburys?

Another words if you got £20 on your nectar card, you will get £40.. to spend between 10th and 30th April in store, am i right?

So can I use £40 worth of nectar points on £80 worth of gift cards?

sounds good, but of course knowing Sainsburys etc.. their overinflate the prices on a lot of stuff...

Thanks OP.
Have only got about £5 on mine, but I now know where they'll be spent

How can you be new to nectar and yet have amassed £47?

no longer do amazon vouchers via nectar.com

cool was going to use my £20 odd the other day glad I didnt .. thanks for the heads up .. head added

Cheers for this

Agree. Except for the offers, their prices are always higher than Asda and Tesco. So even if with this promotion we get double value, the amount of value for money won't be huge.

Do some good wine offers with 25% off six, hopefully will coincide .........

We have the triple points promo due taking pet, and contents insurance from Sainsbury's, this is capped at 5000 extra points a month, but we spend £70 a week on fuel and do both ours and the in-laws shopping there too, it easily gets to 8 or 9000 points a month.

Wow! Brilliant.............. luv it

We collect nectar points throughout the year and spend at xmas, normally cash in £150 to £200 every year. I hope they do this Double Value Promotion again at end of year.......

Been shopping at Sainsburys for over 20 years, been collection points ever since the Nectar scheme started (11 odd years I think)....................... so £800 for us would be 4 years collecting........................

Got £130, that will make it £260. Brilliant!

I've made 150,000 points in the last 6 months, it's not that hard to be honest

HOT! Thanks for the heads up! Will be stocking up!

Rubbish!

Its swings and roundabouts, I have found all the major Supermarkets can be dearer than each other on different products and at different times.

Sainsburys are cheaper on branded products than Tesco, Asda.
Sainsburys have far more BOGOF offers.
Sainsburys have a much better quality food range on their own brand products.

Have I got this correct............... so you have collected £750 in 6 months............. ? ...........Com-on! show us your last Sainsburys receipt..............

We can earn 15000+ points in 6 months ............. = £75+

Can the OP give any more information about this apart from a link that does not yet work ?

The "Selected categories only" part concerns me...

When I say it's not that hard what I meant was it's not that hard when you buy company supplies on eBay... OK most people won't be doing that I guess and I was just showing off :P

Thanks op I was not aware of this. Heat added.

£20 to spend hmm what to buy
