Don't get me wrong, it's heat from me, but am I the only one who thinks that it is a little cheeky that you have to commit to the vouchers before you are able to spend them? Therefore not knowing what will actually be in stock and at what price...

This is a significant negative in my view - not sure why it is necessary to have a week gap, between converting and being able to redeem them, for anything other than underhand reasons, and seems evidence that "new Nectar" carries the same unnecessary awkwardness of "old Nectar".

That said, nice that double up is returning of course.

Updated: now we know that app users don't have this issue I am happy enough. Still not great for those who don't want to use the app though and preferred an in-store, non-app alternative.

You can exchange in store. I look around the departments and work out what vouchers I need, then go to the desk to exchange them....
I have been waiting for this. Shame they didnt have the normal bonus point thing when you spend a tenner you had a min of 200 points back.

Happy days, been waiting for this
I’v managed to bag nearly £70 even though I don’t shop much at Sainsbury’s by using the New Nectar for a few months. Not so good now they’ve removed the “favourites” though.

So online and app this time instead of going to store for vouchers?
I have around £400 in Nectar points, so can I convert that into £800 worth of vouchers to spend on console stuff?

Can it be spent online?

I think last year there was a limit on the amount you could convert but I can't remember if it was £100 or £200 prior to conversion.

edit: MSE said last years was £100 prior to conversion giving £200 of vouchers here

Thanks for the heads up 😁
I got Fifa last year for £10, exchanged £20 worth of nectar points.
Last year was a lot easier one voucher done it all as in the past you had to choose departments etc

Brilliant thank you, would be madness not to make a purchase.
Hopefully the same as last year with there being no maximum sepnd
I did wonder if they may stop doing it, but that limitation will reduce amount people doing it i would imagine. Also wouldnt be surprised if they decide to reduce catergories and items it can be used on.

Thanks for this! Been keeping an eye out. Last year got £100 in vouchers and they were clearing a homeware range so we replaced our entire dining set, along with tablecloth, placemats etc.

It was nice to use the points for something really useful which we otherwise wouldn't have got
Thank you.
I'm sorry 'great offers' I don't even bother reading Nectar's weekly emails, there's no offers worth making an effort for. Bonus 15 points for visiting a Sains local, do it 6 times in 2 weeks and get an extra 50. That said I have £280 worth of points so maybe I don't get decent offers but they're out there.

You could exchange in store last year (and that's what I did), but according to the wording above you can only exchange online or via the app between 30th October and 5th November 2019 for you to spend in store between 13th November until the 19th November 2019. I'm hoping I'm wrong...
You shouldn't buy from them, if they leaks early.
misread this. don't really understand how the promotion works? you need 500 points to redeem against purchases so how are the double up points going to work?
Edited by: "mutley1" 14th Oct 2019
Thank you, been waiting for this 😁😁
So I’m guessing they’ve ditched their ‘swipe and win’ promotion then as it was always a few weeks before the double up promotion.

There are changes this year according to the original post, vouchers are obtained via the App or online ONLY.

Get the NEW Nectar app, the offers are much better such as 100 points for buying a certain item etc.

It says you can only exchange online between those dates. It doesn`t state you can`t exchange in-store.....
