Need for Cash ™ - EA

Sorry but it’s a no buy.

1. It’s EA
2. £29.99 is a poor deal on behalf of EA and Sony
3. Need for Speed hasn’t been good since PS2.

I won’t vote either way as others may like this.

I paid £35.99 and feel like I got a bargain. Multiplayer is great again.

I'm really dubious about this too; the game's upgrade system is based purely on loot boxes again. Also the AI is a bit screwy on there.

I dunno if they've patched it much since release; I'm not going to touch this for quite a while.

Decent deal though OP, probably the cheapest it's been

Very likely, my memory says that it's been featured in the 12 Days deals at least the past two years

Loot boxes have nothing to do with the upgrade system really, all that is in the loot boxes are small amounts of cash and cosmetic stuff like NoS smoke colour etc and trade cards . Nothing that affects the game. Shipments (loot boxes) can also be obtained by completing challenges (speed traps/drif points) or leveling up. They are very little to me that i can collect upto 10 without even bothering to open them.

I've played about an hour / an hour and half on this game and didn't even realise there were loot boxes

It's not a bad game, I've actually enjoyed what I played of it. After the last instalment you become immune to the bad acting / terrible acting voices on the NFS franchise now and just enjoy the gameplay, which I think people can with this.

It comes across at the moment as a bit of a FH rip off, but not negatively. We'll see as time passes. At this price I'd say it's worth a dabble.

Have a feeling this'll be £17.99 after Christmas. Will hold off.

Reviews are pretty bad tbh, I think i will wait till its lower too ^.

They need to make another one like most wanted for ps3! that was by far the best!

Maybe. Most likely will be £34.99 at best.

Unless you’re desperate for a game to play right now £29.99 is way too much for this title. I’d need it to be at least a tenner less before I bite.

Also as somebody has said it had been in the last 2 years 12 deals of Christmas but it was a lot cheaper in January for the last 2 years too. I'm not saying it will be this January though...

Personally I though this game was a real low point for the series. Horrible cheesy acting, car handling iffy, and the graphics not up to much. I don't think that 29.99 is good value for this tbh but each to their own.

Well having played the game for a while this is probably £25 more than I would pay for it. The story and acting are every bit as bad as the upgrade system.

Pay2win rubbish. Avoid.

I've deleted my previous comment about people slating this game's price. Having read some reviews and other comments it seems the game isnt very good and has been turned into a microtransaction fest. So sad.

If EA Access does come to PlayStation soon then this will be on it before too long

"Great game" = 65% metacritic score, 3.9/10 userscore?

I'm not really bothered about what Metacritic says. I bought the game and I think it is a great game. If you bother to read the meta reviews most people like on HUKD seem to think this game is overpowered with micro transactions which couldn't be further from the truth. Also with metacritic / HUKD people need to stop reviewing games before they have even played them. Steam fixed this just recently so maybe Metacritic could do with looking into something.

We are currently in the middle of we all hate EA period which I think is pathetic. You don't like the micro transactions in Battlefront II then simply don't buy it.

You're part of the problem Bob.

Awful game not even worth £5 infac you would want to be paid to play it. Plus it's the most greedy game from EA to date with the way loot boxes work
