Just found this, not bad for the Raspberry Pi 3, case, heatsink and PSU. There seems to be some concerns about the PSU in the Amazon reviews but considering the Raspberry Pi 3 itself is around this price without the case, heatsink and CPU I'd say it's a pretty good deal. It doesn't come with an SD card I suppose but you might have one spare from an old phone.

I've placed an order on one, never really planned to get one of these before but this price was too hard for my to pass up.

I saw raspberry pi 3b going for £28 the other day on eBay from UK sellers. might be a better option if you'd rather get a different case
£2 cheaper without the case if you don't need one. Same seller amazon.co.uk/gp/…i+3
I bought this and had to replace the psu, otherwise a good value package

To save frustration you would be better ordering a decent SD card at the same time, doesn't need to be very big but should be class 10.
I am using this amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1 in a Pi Zero W and RPi 3 and it's fine
It's a great little computer, especially now you can run Google Assistant from it.

With the RPi 3 and the amount of power it can draw under heavy loads I recommend the official Raspberry Pi power supply.
How do CHIP fare in comparison to the pi? They are much cheaper but I am guessing it comes down to the ecosystem like android vs windows? Only, I am not very sure why ecosystem would impact this type of a device...

Don't you have to add everything to CHIP, like the ethernet etc? I'm after a dual NIC board to use as a permanent VPN if anyone has any ideas?
'heatsink' tsk, completely unnecessary, this is an ARM processor not intel.

My PSU was broken as well, coil whine was unacceptable.
Also, heat sinks were missing (can help if you overclock to play N64 games on retropie).

2 items in the pack broken/missing and never got any refunds or replacements. I would spend a bit more and buy the official ones.

It reduces temperatures though, how does that make it unnecessary? It reduced the average temperature of mine by around 8 degrees, so I can run Retropie for longer.

I found the opposite to be true. My RPi3 was throttling under heavy loads.

I'm sorry but you couldn't be any more wrong here, the one "fault" with the Pi3 is that it generates a tonne of heat under any kind of stress and really requires a heatsink to help with that.

I have this running on my pi2 is it worth the upgrade to this one?
I got one of these last time it cropped up. The case is solid and the sinks do the job.
For anyone only casually interested in the Pi (like me) it might be worth setting up a price alert on this bundle - amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1

Last time Amazon had them was about 6 weeks ago and I picked one up for £17. Including the official 16GB SD card. Wasn't even interested in them at the time, but too good to pass up

if you already have it and you aren't having any issues then i cant see why you would need to

not sure how good support to previous OS is with the software so cant comment really
