**Looks like you can possibly get this for £43.44 if you follow rivellangel's advice in the comments, thanks rivellangel

Ok so my recent Chinese mobile phone deals haven't generated me a lot of heat so I thought I'd post something different.

So different in fact that in all honesty I have no idea what anyone would use this for. But it must be awesome, because frickin' lasers.

Price seems to be the cheapest available. Would love some suggestions on what one would use this for.

Voted hot just because of the Austin powers connection

This looks awesome. I don't need it at all but I'm gonna buy it

Voted hot because I'll be the only one in our street who will have one.

This may seem obvious from the way laser cutters range from £50 to £100k but you'll get a better quality machine for more money :P Smoother motion, better focus, more power etc. Then again the saying is that you should buy cheap tools, when the cheap ones break from use you know you need expensive versions.

2 USB leads, dark glasses and a memory card as extras - I'm in X)

For a brief second I thought that you also got an 'Alien Wrench' - shame I'd just misread it...

So this £49 one won't be as good as a £100k version? Damn! I just picked one up hoping to start a global industrial parts business.

*The Machine product through CE seriously, safety and not have radiation.

Good enough for me, fire it up.

Wood only??
no good to me then

Can you get a cheap tattoo if you put your forearm in there?

At that size, you could probably put a lego minifigure on it and act out the laser beam scene from Goldfinger.

Well no, the saying is "you buy cheap, you buy twice", but I think I prefer yours

That's probably the least catchy phrase I've ever heard.

Can also be easily adapted to shoot down small light aircraft or drones. Hot!

1W for engraving you're having a laugh.

Hello again If I was serious about engraving then I'd look at sabarmultimedia series of videos about Chinese laser engraving machines, that guy is a genius. Or I'd look at 70W engravers from vocell. Trotec are decent too. As for cutters well yes you can need a lot more power depending on the material. I was really interested in the kick starter glowforge but that seems to not be working out.

ouchie!

You could always get one and make all your mates think you have a £2000 3D printer... which looks identical

Wow, hot. Just because I didn't realise before how much I needed one.

I always knew corrective laser eye surgery could be performed at home.

Now, where do I sign...

Care to explain how you got the additional £2.46?

Is it just wood? No good for papercraft?

heat just for finding the thing

Me: You have no necessity for this, it's a waste of money.
Also me: It's a laser...

Don't want or have ever wanted but feel I 'need' one.

oh my gosh i want this. don't know what you would use it for? who cares it's cool... personalise your shirt buttons or something

Now if this did metal, id have been all over it. My motorbike would be engraved everywhere! Custom engine casings, patterned guards etc. I was so excited before i read the "wood only" comment.

Just to note your home insurance might be void with this item in your home. I run a laser cutting business and know of the horror stories of cheap lasers catching fire and such.

Sorry, looked easy! I just clicked the banner on their site, took me here: lightinthebox.com/ind…LT3

It then added a bunch of money off things to my account

Which of you will be first to laser a picture on to your own wood?
