Cold? I honestly don't understand. You know how much the original pads go for?
Agreed, it's £37 on Amazon, which is half as much again?
Not a bad price for an arcade stick even more so when you use it for MAME.

Original Rembrandt's go for a lot of money, replicas, less so

Just sold my Neo Geo X, it's a great little system, very, very retro. There are issues with it - screen could be better, bit too 'clicky' on the directional pad on the portable console for my liking - but still great. Joystick is one of the best parts of the whole package.

Only sold it because I got a Gpd XD, which does the job much better, for me.
Hmm wonder if there is room inside for my raspberry pi? Would make a great all in one arcade machine

Yes even the Canoo is a neat little system. Ive settled with a Nvidia Shield portable. Great device, a shame they stop selling them. Streams my PC games and also a lot of emulators. THeres also a Nvidia game service - a couple dozen games for £7 a month
A good old fashioned joystick - HEAT! I miss joysticks.

havent you read the review on gameseek.?
its hilarious..

Not bad replica - I’d been after a joystick for retro gaming for a while, and with the release of the Neo Geo X I thought that the joystick would be great for playing arcade titles on my PC (and eventually a Raspberry Pi). I’m a particularly big fan of the Neo Geo, I had one back in the day (well, 20 years ago when they were considered retro) but sadly lost it during a messy divorce (tip for you kids, hide your retro stuff if you get divorced!). The packaging was just as I remembered the SNK packaging for the Neo Geo accessories, and opening it up I was excited to see that it’s a very close replica to the original. While it’s not exactly the same as the original Neo Geo joystick, it’s pretty close. It’s detected by Windows 8.1 as a joystick, although Mame does need a bit of reconfiguring to work properly, and for some strange reason the C and D buttons are swapped round on the joystick buttons (A = 1, B = 2, C = 4 and D = 3). To be fair, for the money you can’t go wrong. Compared to some of the arcade stick prices out there this one was a bargain for retro gaming, heck, it’s probably even possible to fit a Raspberry Pi inside (I’ll try this when I pick up another one of these sticks sometime). So if you’re a retro gamer and love the Neo Geo and want a bit of nostalgia then it’s well worth a purchase :-)

I know it wouldn't be traditional Neo Geo layout if it had more than 4 buttons, but they would have massively increased the market giving it 8 to match the PS3's full regular set. A second matching row surely wouldn't cost that much or upset fans?

I personally always insist on my exact replicas of retro items to be modified to look nothing like they originally did.
So temped
It may be a good deal in terms of the price going up, but I read somewhere that these are cheaply made and horrible to actually use.

Hey plops, I stand corrected. I think the review I saw originally was by ashens, which I've just reacquainted myself with and in summary the arcade stick is the only half decent thing about the Neo Geo X Gold.
i've got the neo geo X system which is good in principle - lots of games, handheld and TV modes, this joystick.
people moan about the emulator issue but for someone like me who only heard of this mythical device on gamesmaster etc, it's not a huge issue. i like the look and feel of it and glad i did bite the bullet at £140 before they disappeared from stock
just a shame they shelved the concept and didn't release more games

OK well if I was buying it to make money I'd need to know:

1. Can I offload it quickly - what's the demand.
2. Will I make at least 100% profit on it.

If I can't answer either of those two then I'm not interested.

Well it's not going to be quick, but the manufacture will be limited because SNKPlaymore revoked the licence. What's out there is out there. I'd imagine you'd double your money.

Gosh I doubt he was advising you make a business out of it. At this price you could buy it, have a lot of fun with it, then make your money back after you are done with it.

The demand is small. But the Neo Geo X Gold is already a cult classic, modernised system.

I have one & I love it. Needed the extra ArcadeStick too.

Thanks OP
How trustworthy is this GameSeek website?

Literally, never heard of them & there website looks like it was written in HTML
Its no secret that the Neo Geo X was terrible Neo Geo emulator but the controllers are currently the closest you can get to using an original Neo Geo stick on a PC or PS3. I will stick with my Hori Fighting stick 3 though, The best joystick I have ever used. http://cdn-static.gamekult.com/gamekult-com/images/photos/00/01/13/20/ME0001132058_2.jpg
My Sanwa stick is so much better than my Hori Real Arcade Pro. For old fighting games, I'll never switch back.

But, any Hori is defo worth keeping hold of tbh
All websites are written in HTML, the visual parts at least. I've ordered from GameSeek before with no issue.

I know that a retro controller doesn't compare to an arcade stick but I'd be lying if I said I don't like using the Hori Pokken Controller for retro gaming. It's awesome!
I have a Hori SF x Tekken stick, is it still worth me buying this?

I've ordered from them before with no problems but I agree their site looks a little shabby.
As a guide, I usually trust most online stores that are listed in TCB/Quidco.
