IMO (and I use electric pressure cooker almost daily), get one with stainless steel pot. The non-stick coating gets damaged when using the saute option (experience with my first one).

Couldn't agree more. Go stainless steel. Worth every penny. But purely from a deal point of view. This is decent. Heat.

i've had one of the king pro pc's, the non-stick coating hasn't lifted at all
28 quid is the regular price on e b u y e r. OOS now.

I've been using it for about half a year.
It's a learning curve because the default time suggestions for each meal is way off.
For example suggested time for soup is 45min - from my experience - max 30min
For Goulash and any meat suggested time is 45min - after 20min meal is ready and the meat is tender as expected (on chicken breasts)

so I have to lower (and I'd suggest to do the same to everyone) the suggested time by significant margin to have the satisfactionary results.
but overall it's a fantastic product for the price.
use only plastic or wooden materials to stirr the food, the inner pot surface is very delicate and prone to scratches.

We have the Sage pressure cooker and it has a non-stick bowl, still going absolutely fine 3 years in, the non-stick coating isn't damaged in any way.
Stainless steel every time.
Cleans up nicely even after hard usage.

Take a pint of water, add a 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and boil it in your non-stick pressure cooker for 5 minutes. Once cooled have a taste and you will understand what that non-stick coating is leeching into your food.
Great. Thanks. Ordered and ready for delivery at the weekend.

This is word for word what I was about to say
Brilliant bits of kit that i would now never be without - however, teflon coated or aluminum cookware is bad news

The best of the best is an Instant Pot in my experience
Got one last month. Was posted for £29.99. Can't fault it at all and have been doing majority of my cooking in it!

I have the same. Probably the only thing I haven't made in it is cake. Care to share your recipe?

For anyone else who is confused there is a cake setting button also 😋

Followed this recipe, but instead of oven, we used this cooker to try and it worked out well...

I can concur on this. I got one like this deal (from Aldi, looks identical) and the non-stick coating came away. I did clean it in the dishwasher though. Swapped out for another and have only hand washed it and it's lasting much better. But it would be worth paying more for a stainless steel pot, then you're worry free. The Instant Pot brand is good. That's said, mine was 15 quid, so I'm happy enough with it for now and will see how long the pot lasts.
A few years ago I heard a radio news report saying that pressure cookers are dangerous and a lot of people have been injured by them.

Are these electronic ones more safe?
Gone for it. Got it for £33.49 as I had Nectar points to use. That’s the mrs birthday present sorted

And how much did you pay for the Sage … definitely not £36 … 'twas most probably over £100. I had a cheap Aldi one, and the non-stick coating did come off.

They aren't dangerous if you know how to use them. This is a free pressure cooking school for stove-top and electric pressure cookers - hippressurecooking.com/pre…ol/. The only time I had an explosion was when I didn't depressurise the cooker properly … always wait for the pin to drop.

I’m waiting for a deal on the Evo Plus. I really like the way the company interacts with their customers and listens in new designs and am happy to pay more (I know there are a lot of options out there). I just can’t ever bring myself to pay full RRP for anything

Ah I didn’t know they have launched all these new models in UK, I got mine (Duo 5.7L) about 2 years ago on Black Friday sale, there was only one model to buy. We use it almost 2/3 times every week & no problems at all! Still acts & looks like new. 😄
Does the rice button act as a simple rice cooker? Or is it something more extravagant?
I ordered this of ebay bit not showing on pirchase history but in paypal never happened before
I used mine today for the first time. The 'meat' function doesn't work. I now have to go to the hassle of returning it grrrr

Thanks for spotting that! I would still go for the Instant Pot (5.7l) or an electric pressure with a stainless steel inner pot. I have an IP and a Cosori which are used almost daily. My ALDI electric pressure cooker had a non-stick inner pot and it was damaged with using the sauté function. I should have just spent the extra and bought better … I learnt to do research then buy the best I can afford especially if I am going to use the item regularly.
