Just popped into my local Morrisons and they have some new Neon LCD tv's in stock which are much nicer than the previous 23 " models on sale for £185. These have a much smaller frame and are thinner with a rounded sound bar at the bottom. The lady on the counter explained that the manufacturer gives a years guarantee then Morrisons give another...so not a bad price for a stylish looking TV with a 2 year guarantee.

Just fitted it up and picture is nice and clear as is the sound. My only reservation at the moment is the viewing angle which is quite limited so it looks like I need to get a tilting bracket. Otherwise all is well.
Would be interested to see if any cold voters can find a better specced TV with Freeview HDMI and DVD player (and a 2 year guarantee) for less than this price.
I guess the added bonus is that if things go wrong you just get a new TV or a refund as they are not likely to try to repair it.

Oh, and she said they just had a pallet full delivered so there should be plenty of stock..I bought two for each of the kids bedrooms.

£13O FOR A 22" ELONEX from asda, most ppl have set top boxes and dvd players

Maybe, but I wanted a single unit and none of the wires linking them all up...plus I don't have a set top box or spare dvd player.
Is the Elonex HD with a HDMI port? Seems to be £140 now.

Also, spec details are a bit sparse on that model.

Warm from myself ,Akura 24" HDMI & VGA 1080P with integrated Freeview/DVD available at Makro for £160.99 inclusive of VAT.

Understandably not everyone has access to Makro, and it has 12 Months warranty rather than 24 (although Makro does have good warranty service), however it is a better spec for less, and clearly the prices of these portable combo units are falling.

dude the spec details on the morrisons tv are non existent, although i agree its is convenient not having to accommodate extra dvd player and set top box and the added warranty is a bonus,

Just to add that I have had a pair of these TV's up for a few days now and they are great once you get the viewing angle right. Box says they support 1080 and they do play DivX/xVid.

which morrisons did you go to my local does not have 22" tv in
