I have two in the garage, well worth the investment
These are rubbish, video quality is good but the app is useless, you can't view sd card footage from the app and alerts are completely random or were as mine never record ANYTHING since the last update!

it's a shame as the hardware is good, they only work well if you pay for the £3.49 monthly subscription

Take a look at the app reviews on Google play, says it all.
I have 3 of these. Excellent quality and the app works very well. You don’t need to pay any subscription as the camera works well without. Heat from me 🔥
I would definitely go for the TP-Link ones for not much more.

They work perfectly for me albeit picking up erratic flies/moths regularly. Also picks up car doors shutting outside. Never had any false notifications so far. This also saves clips in my archive for me to go back to and review via the calendar.

Live streaming and talking over the mic also works perfectly.

PS - This is the free subscription not the paid for subscription

This was two years ago and as I recall, it was 50/50 or worse that you would brick the camera.
I was following that at the time when the cameras were I think about £15 each.

I've been using mine for around 2-3 years and its solid. Mine was the Xiaomi variant.
Are these the same as the wyze cams?

I'm guessing it has a motion sensor? Any idea if it works with Samsung smartthings hub?

I also have had problems with the app for a good few months. I have an iPhone.

When I was following this camera's development two years ago, it had a snappy name, "the XiaoFang WiFi Camera".
This is exactly the same product so I presume the cloud service is stillprovided by XiaoFang.
Not impressed with mine. Considering this and the Wyze are the same camera, the Wyze is so much better. The picture quality is better on the Wyze and the app is more useful. Plus, you can record to as and rewind on the app without having to remove the ad card to check it all like you do with Neos. I'd say pay the extra and import the Wyze, especially if you predominantly use Google home products.

Physically, yes. The firmware is their own though.

Yes it has a very reliable motion sensor. I am unsure as to the smartthings thingy as I don't use anything Samsung.

Hardware is the same, but service is provided by a UK based insurance company Neos. Having monitored the upload traffic of mine I can confirm it's only going to EU AWS datacentres.
Does this work with tiny cam over 4g? I have the xiaomi versin and rtsp never worked. I can only view over WiFi while on the same home network

Have you used this behind a window? Does it reflect IR light?
Why aren't wyze selling in the UK?
I bought 2 in America, they're incredible
Good at the price, as a "toy". Due to 12 second clips, low frame rate and terribly long cooldown between clips.

Useless for actual security - unless you pay the monthly subscription. (Even then only indoors.)

Thanks for that, still too limited for me, I want to be able to record the camera's stream on to my NVR so that I have complete control.

You can turn off the ir, but you'd need at least street lighting to see anything
I have one of these. Bit of a toy, but quite fun. However, one big advantage is that the Alexa skill actually works, unlike the Yi Home skill I would use on my other (Yi) cameras if it worked. So I can say 'Alexa show front door' and the live image appears on my Alexa Show. Very handy for seeing what the postman is bringing.

sort of, can be used outside with a cover

Clever guys at GitHub? You do realize GitHub is just a software development hosting platform? Unless by clever guys you mean Microsoft.
Same problems here with it not recording clips I get alerts but nothing is recorded anymore. Live view works as it should but that’s about it (iOS).

I have 6 cameras around the house with external cases and alternative workaround and I have 24 hours 7 days a week recordings without using neos app guys...Amazing value and 24/7 recordings is really hot for me.
Just order the wyze cam off Amazon.com their app and camera firmware is much more refined (including people detection).
