They’re going up to £30 soon
Do not buy this cameras expecting any kind of security solution. You are basically buying a live stream camera unless you want to pay for their paid cloud service. Camera functions for none subscribers are very very basic. SD card recording is possible if you can get it to work with no phone access meaning you have to keep removing the card to view (that is if you where lucky enough to of recorded anything in the first place).
Lots of better cameras on the market.
Same price at Currys but with free 6 months Spotify premium. currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

Motion & noise detection with alerts: When motion or noise is detected a 12 second video clip is automatically recorded.
You didn't mention how long the camera waits after recording a 12 second clip before it will record another!
And sometimes the recording is not until a few seconds after the event so you miss what has gone on.

In my experience, YI or Tp-link indoor cameras are better than this in many ways ( software, wifi signal and app) for a few extra pounds. However, this is perfect for I.e you to leave in ur holiday room while you are away. It has inbuild magnet and 360 rotation so can plug many metal surfaces easily.

5 minutes before it records the next motion detected.
Got 2 of these. They're ok. But the recorded clips are just too short and the extra they charge to enable longer recordings is too much as you may as well just spend the extra on a better camera/service.

Think this will be the downfall of this company/camera in the long run.

If they'd had 1 minute clips as standard I feel they would sell loads more because for the price they do a decent job

£2.49 which covers three cameras too. I think it’s good value. Let’s you set activity zones so you can ignore certain areas of the screen for motion detection.

This is a basic feature and is free with every other camera I know of.

I also have two that's why I would not recommend them to anyone.

And back in the early days before they started the subscription service, this was promised as a free upgrade which never happened.

I have 6 of these - and £2.49 monthly cloud subscription for longer recordings and reset time.

You have to remember you are paying £19.99 for a camera - they are fantastic value - the app is a bit flaky I have to admit - but they do the job.

Its worth mentioning that with a little work these can be unlocked to work with just about any security system that supports RTSP streams.ryanfitton.co.uk/blo…am/

Do you know of any alternative that offer 1 minute clips uploaded to cloud without a monthly subscription?

Why do you need cloud when you can have unlimited time by just inserting a SD memory card into a suitable camera (not this one).

This camera work with sdcards, although they recommend <=32Gb which limits it to a circular buffer of a few days.
Cloud uploads gives you two things: 1- remote alert on mobile. 2- thief breaks in, see a video camera that records locally only, steal the camera, evidence gone.

You still get the alerts without paying for cloud. How do you access the data on the SD card?
