How do these compare to those yi cameras?
Rarely discounted? I’ve bought my numerous Neos cams during the numerous times they’ve been discounted.....

Got a couple with prime... not had a rate good look but software detects movement and noise... you can also get some nifty out door cases for em too...
their servers have gone down 3 times since March this year, so was left with long periods of times without recordings.
Surely the Pope doesn`t need any cameras to know what"s going on ?
I got this camera on prime day for £10 along with echo show 5. Unfortunately this camera keeps freezing and around 20% of time alexa cannot connect with this camera to show live feed and I have to restart it most of time. Neos app by it self keeps freezing. With this price (£10) its a good choice but you cannot rely on it if you have to connect it remotely and at that time it gets freeze.

So No No for this camera because of highly unreliable operations and bugs.
Should have got more when they were a tenner with the Echos. Love mine

I had the same issue with it not loading live feed but it seemed to settle down and sort itself out over around 2 days after setting them up. Now they always connect to live stream without fail
I didn’t know it was £10 on prime day. I wish I had bought it then
I brought one on prime day and for the price I think it’s great. It did say server was down for a few days but I was still getting the recorded clips.

Do you recommend any alternative?
Which is better? CACAGOO Security Camera, Baby Monitor 1080P FHD WIFI IP Camera Indoor Wireless Dome Camera amazon.co.uk/dp/…1CC

Or

Wansview WiFi IP Camera, 1080P Baby Camera K5, Pet Camera Monitor Wireless Home Security Camera with Motion Detection 2-Way Audio Night Vision, Works with Alexa (White) amazon.co.uk/dp/…T5V
These are great value and work much better than the swann rubbish i had before. Got 3 on prime day, work flawlessly so far.
I'm getting very poor image quality, and the motion sensor is set of by shadows and moving net curtains, with no way to zone the detection areas. Not worth it as a security camera.

Having both I'd say the Yi Cameras are far superior. The ability to draw a region for motion detection and have baby crying detection means I have far more use. I got the echo show combo and gave up trying to get it to work to be honest, will be sending back. And buying another yi.
Been very impressed with mine other than a few hours where it wouldn't display on my echo show but still worked fine on the app , wish they done one with pan and tilt though, any recommendations on a budget camera with pan and tilt that will work with the echo show, would have went for the yi ones but no alexa compatibility
Got one of these with the echo show on prime day i think its very good quality image wise doesn't take long to set up and link with Alexa, however if you do get a message sayind Alexa cant discover device when trying to link this camera close the alexa app and when you open it it should show as linked that's the only issue i had with setting it up and for me its excellent quality for the money
Do these present as IP cameras on the LAN, so you can access them with software such as iSpy?

No, they are P2P cams.

You need to flash them if you want an RTSP stream. Google dafang .bin for it.

The Yi cameras are not Alexa compatible but if that’s not a must, I find them much more reliable than the Neos camera I have.
I grabbed one of these on Prime Day..nice bit of kit. Clear image and very compact. Now I have seen there are external mouting options I might grab a second...Hot
Really great camera, could be sold at double the price and people would be happy.

I have one of each and I think the Neos is better. It's really well designed, and unlike the Yi camera you don't need a memory card to get online alerts with 30 second clips when motion or sound is detected.
yes, the app is a little flakey. The cloud upload is limited to 11 (?) seconds then a blackout period for 5 mins, though local SD recordi G is supported. They aren't a substitute for a "real" home security system, but since they're MILES cheaper, with no monthly fee, I'm happy to enjoy basic monitoring.

The magnetic mount is handy for creative placement. I also have one mounted outdoors using the common plastic housing, and you may want some longer micro usb cables, depending on placement and ceiling height.

I can post some photos if HUKD come ts supports that (probably should do an Amazon review and upload there)
I've been after a indoor camera like this for a while but cant decide which to get. I like the free recording feature of this over this others and I've seen this one posted a few times here on HUKD. But what always puts me off is the first review saying you have to give your home address when registering. Is that really true or can you just leave that info blank when setting it up

Yes you can leave address blank. You only need to enter it if you want to use the geofencing function to enable /disable the alerts.

they've removed that "requirement" ; I didn't even use my current address when I did it (no interest in geofencing)

true, at the time. They update the app pretty regularly and from memory it was about a month or two ago the release notes said "removed requirement to provide address at registration"

It's update again since then so I can't find a screenshot but wanted to provide up-to-date customer feedback

m8 they not just rebranded, the firmware is Neos own, like Wyze has their own.

Wyze cams are way better than Neos for functionality, and better support fourms too. They even do the auto bulbs now.
