These make a great clothes horse after you've used it for 3 days.
Had mine for 2 years and claocked in almost 1200 miles. Best investment I made for keeping in shape during Winter, perfect time to buy one right now. If I didn't buy it I would be well overweight and unattractive but because of the bike I'm just unattractive. HEAT!
Can you fit a basket to the handlebars?
Coming from a heavyweight just over 6 ft tall, why are these machines all for smaller and lighter people? Surely they should be built for fat people like me who need it to lose weight

Basket on front and saddlebags on the back!
We was looking for a cheaply priced exercise bike and I came across this and thought it looked like a decent deal.

Some reviews on Amazon where it is priced at £149.99 amazon.co.uk/Ner…K5Z judging by one review left last month the bike doesn't suit anyone around 6ft tall
I hate these. Is there any more machines?

I was just looking at the sizes of the bikes, they all seem quite small (compared to the professional gym ones), even the more expensive ones. I guess as its for home use you're not going to have as much room so downsize them slightly? I'm only 5'6 so it will be like a penny farthing I have ordered this one.

I used to have a spin bike. Big emphasis on used to. It did indeed turn into a clothes horse, not because it wasn't good but because I wasn't motivated. That being said if I were to get another one just wait a couple of weeks into the new year. People drop new years resolutions like I've had hot dinners. Great time for a bargain on gumtree/eBay.
Strap an iPad to the handlebars and watch a free YouTube spinning class and you’ve got yourself a peloton at about 1/10 of the price. Then try and find a HUKD on a carpet cleaner because the carpet in your spare room is going to get rancid sweat all over it.

Is this better than a bike stand think for your normal bike
I've been eyeing a reebok ZR bike recently, but am torn on going in on this.

I was looking at them also, deffo worth a shout if you want to use the programmes on them as everything is electronic. Just depends on your needs, I'm going to be sharing mine with the missus and she just wants something she can use to spin whilst watching something on the tablet.
The Reebok type ones you are talking about would suite taller humans better than this one I posted so that's worth considering also.
Zwift compatible?

It's a shame you can't generate electricity with these things, I wouldn't pay a penny in bills. Seems like a waste of energy!

Yeah, I think I may continue my Reebok quest - I'm also an Eiffel Tower sized human.
Can you convert this in to a bike that you can ride on the road if you add a few parts

Yeah just take the feet off and bolt a dustbin lid on the back as a wheel.

Do you know how the peloton is doing on the U.K. market? I don’t think it’s worth the money. It looks great and is definitely something to show off when you have it at home but don’t think it’s worth the money. As you may already know, you also pay for the training subscription on top.
By the way this one looks great and is exact the same model (just a different colour) as the one at my old fancy gym and they only had the best of the best.

This one - eBay item number: 123779067283 - is £89.99 and in the listing bullet points says it suits users up to 200kg, but then the detailed description contradicts that and says "Loading Weight: 100kg - 120kg"! Also, there's no mention of the 5 year guarantee of the OP's deal. I've sent the seller a message asking about the guarantee + user weight clarification and will give an update asap.

Be interesting to know about the weight limit. Might take a look at the reviews in the meantime...

I just watch virtual cycling or running videos on Youtube, speed them up if need be. Plenty on there going through LA, London, Paris, Hawaii etc etc. Mute them, and then listen to my own music. Kills the boredom.
Anyone revived theirs yet? Any good?
What’s the difference between a spin bike and a traditional exercise bike?
Anyone much clued up on these things? I was looking at the NordicTrack GX 4.4 Pro - I can see the difference is mainly that that one has bluetooth, auto resistance settings and works with apps. I am just not sure if it's worth the extra £250 over this one. I am interested in getting fit again, used to cycle quite a bit each morning but since changing jobs its difficult to find the time daily but would rather something closer to the Pelaton type thing (though not a the price they want!)
Any alternatives I should be looking at in the upto about £400 range?
Just put together seems really good, only thing is I can't work out how to secure the saddle. I can sit on it, but it doesnt seem to clip in or anything.

Can anyone tell me how to fix in the saddle?
