The GET DEAL link doesn't work - no offer found
Cheaper if you're already on their mailing list
Couldn't agree more. Imgburn is definitely just as good. Point was Nero is a waste of money IMHO
Ah... I don't feel very well after that comment Oneday.
At least it wasn't using the pints trick with a few yanks in you.
I fell for this when it was posted for £15 (ish) using the yank trick... In my defense though, I had has a few pints at the time!
It just demands you pay more and more if you want to do something different. As you say, free progs do everything this can. Still like Nero Video though THB
Can you please be more specific on above points?
that explains it...thanks
John-boi: that's because x86 IS 32bit mate. "x64" is 64 bit. I know the naming is weird but x86 program files is the "legacy" one to support 32bit, the one without x86 is the 64bit. In short 32bit apps and dlls go in "Program Files x86" 64bit apps go in "Program Files". 32bit dlls will not work with 64bit apps and vice versa.
Even though my vlc is in the x86 programs it only worked with the 32 bit dll
Yep, that's the site I originally tried :-) Seems to vary per machine and disc as to whether or not it'll work
I had an email to say the expiry date was after 2 days, I didn`t know they will extend it for another week, maybe longer?
Why has this been expired? It is still live. I've just ordered it!
Bought not really bothered with Nero for ages, but this is an incredible deal.
For £13-odd I'm tempted beyond belief. But Nero 2012 is perfectly fine and hasn't let me down. Oh wait. Couple of times with Blurays its let me down, but so have other progs I have, with same job that produced the failure. I'm tempted. VERY
Thanks :) used to use Nero all the time way back, will try again now.
The unofficial "lite" version of years ago was good... if their current one really is lite then it should be better than their bloated suite. Best off just using InfraRecorder or CDBurnerXP - both FOSS.
Nice software.. Well spotted, its a bit basic but obviously thats because it's the light version.. Heat added :3
Ashampoo free is better? Another freebie Hotukdeal interestingly no comments. got B-Ray too......
Great find - I am still using Nero Micro (an unofficial stripped down version of Nero 7 and 8), so I'm guessing this is something similar? Can anybody please confirm that it doesn't contain any additional bloatware, adverts etc? Cheers, Su Just tried to install and it insists on installing some sh*tty Ask Toolbar before going ahead. FAIL.
Yes it's safe - at least it doesn't install dodgy drivers ;) I use ImgBurn both at work and at home - in fact we ship it on our systems having just scrubbed the malware that Nero Essentials OEM is off our systems.
QFT And frankly, I wouldn't touch Nero anything thesedays - it's horrific bloatware!
anything free is a bonus for me !! ;-)
I use CDBurnerXP on my Vista 64 bit machine and it does everything that this Nero does, plus burn DVD movies, music CDs, in fact, anything you want. And it's free. Suddenly this limited (hobbled) Nero doesn't seem such a good deal. Cold.
Wish I'd seen this info before I uninstalled bloated Nero 8 and put the free Nero 9 on. I was annoyed to see there isn't even a facility for burning audio discs! I will try CDBurner XP - I really like the look of its simple interface.
The free version of Starburn doesn't. However, the free version of ] Ashampoo Burning Studio does.
Thanks H&R added..
