FWIW I love the Americano, coming from someone who owns and drinks from a Tassimo. Tried the Intenso and found it tasted weaker than Americano - Yuk. Each to their own tastes I guess.

I thought I'd include link from earlier post from Blurb, for 500g tin from staples for £9.99 inclusive of vat (usually £16.99) if you're after larger quantity (still on offer at time of typing works out almost £2 for 100g). Heat given to Blurb

nice stuff. Bought a tin yesterday

The missus loved this stuff. Heat added

Quite like intenso, stocked up when Amazon had them for £2/tin. On Charlie's recommendation will try the Americano

Might go for the huge size @ Staples. Am I right in thinking that the coffee is best when freshest so smaller canisters would probably result in better taste??

I'm not an expert, but guess it depends on the quality/process of the coffee, how air tight the tin is and how quick you can go through a large tin.

I made the mistake once of getting a big tin of Nescafe coffee granules from Cash & Carry for home. Took the family a long time to get through it, as it wasn't the only type of coffee we were drinking. After about 3+ months the granules left in tin (about less than 1/4 full) started lumping together and had no aroma, probably with the moisture and amount of times we kept having to open and close the lid. Ended n the bin.

You'll generally find the Azera offers come up fairly frequently, jumping from One Supermarket to another with some offers better than others. If you just search HUKD's you'll see what I mean. Personally I'll go for the 100g tins as they an stay airtight until until you start using them. The big tin would be good if you needed it for a coffee room and it's likely to be used up within a few weeks.

Joshtbh Would be interested to see what you think of Americano. :). Sometimes I use two heaped (smallish tea spoons) in small to medium espresso cup and a bit of sugar/sweetener (no milk) and find it very refreshing "pick me up". Think it tastes a bit like tassimo Carte Noire Espresso shot.

After first opening, the coffee (Intenso) from the tin smells well rounded but after a short time it doesn't have the same body but it doesn't affect the taste that much.

Just to remind folks, I had a quick at tesco online and noticed the price changes for the 100G tins to £6 for 2 or normal rrp of £4.99 for one. The £2.49 deal has expired.

Also a fiver in the coop too, glad I just picked up another 100g tin at Tesco this week!
