Spotted this looking for a house warming gift. Seems a good price. I also added another item to take me over £50 and used code TDX-KJPW which is £10 off when you spend £50 - supposed to be for new accoutns but worked for me on an old account.

I think this is in the sale its reduced from over £80.

worst coffee machine ever

had one, last 4ish months, replacement lasted 5 minutes and 2nd replacement last 8-9 months

avoid, stone cold deal

there are several design problems - most common are:-

1) seals dont hold and water leaks everywhere - trust me at 15psi it goes everywhere!!
2) machine seals itself shut with pressure and it is not possible to open the machine - the only option is to drill the machine through the pod to release the pressure but to do that makes the machine near unusable

final issue is that it makes the worst coffee ever - almost as bad as freeze dried stuff

I've had mine just over a year and no problems at all, I love the coffee particularly the latte.

Not like the original ones then, I've had one many years now and it's still going strong - my wife only remarked the other day how many hundreds of cups it must have made!

The coffee isnt bad, the pod price is.

Makes sense to me.
I'd recommend getting the bigger one from currys as its only a little more, but more powerful so will make the coffee quicker and holds more water. Minor advantages tho as the coffee should taste the same.

Do you get Coffee Ducks for these?

Our Piccolo has lasted 12 months now, and is still going strong. All machines come with a 2 year warranty, so if it breaks then return for a repair/replacement.

Our original Dolce Gusto Melody lasted over 2 years, and cost less than £50 when new.

Latte, cappuccino, iced cappuccino and chocochino are OK, provided you accept that the coffee varieties will never be as god as fresh bean-to-cup alternatives.

At £39, this is probably the cheapest I've seen this machine, and worth every penny in my opinion.

Technically it's less powerful, running at 14 bar, rather than 15 bar of the Piccolo. Not that most people could tell the difference.

From personal experience, the Piccolo is great if worktop space is limited, although it does have a smaller water capacity.

This is basically the same deal as I posted here - hotukdeals.com/dea…471 yet mine didn't get much heat, I don't get it.

It is £10 cheaper than your deal. You can either just pay the £39 or add £11 of goods to your basket, apply the code and pay £40 for £50 worth if stuff. I bought 12 months live xbox for my daughter with this and got both for £63.

Reading the t&cs I think it does you just register with the code in the box and they credit your account. Great offer.

it did with mine

I bought the 'big brother' of this. Coffee truly is awful, tastes like dishwasher - it's no replacement for a decent cafetiere or Moka pot, and works out more expensive because of the rip-off pods you have to buy.
If you really want to buy this, Amazon have them listed as coming up in their lightning sale in half an hour - might be a bigger discount there.

Reduced to £39 at amazon also but at Tesco if the £10 off code works on your account then you can get an extra £11 of stuff for just £1 more.

awesome machine.
I have had my piccolo for just over a year now, no problems, used more or less daily.
Gave my parents my melody 2 when I bought my piccolo, now almost two years old, still going strong.
Maybe there was a dodgy batch of seals or something... but mine have been flawless.

I hav this machine and I like it
Mine came with the free £10 coffee when you register too

cool...wanting one for ages! ordered! with £10 free to spend it can't go wrong!! X)

Had ours for well over a year with no issues and the coffee is far better than any freeze dried stuff.

I would recommend this machine, especially at this price.

bought a Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine yesterday, registered for the £10 welcome reward and then ordered some coffee pods on line. When i came to use my £10 promotional welcome it wouldnt accept it as it kept telling me my order had to be over £10.......but it was it came to £11.04. Has anybody else had this problem?

who's got one? I've got a question: does it make some noise and vibrate when filling up the cup? Mine makes a lot of noise/vibration and the cup even moves on the little tray. Is that normal?

Bought one from Tesco Direct following this post and very pleased with it. Also got a £15 game for a fiver at the same time using the TDX-KJPW code!!!
My thanks to the OP.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Nescafé Dolce Gusto Piccolo and the Mini Me? Piccolo means "small" so am struggling to work out the difference? Plus I can't find any reviews for the Mini Me so wondering if its new or one and the same as the Piccolo? Help!
