This is really hot. Even £44.99 the other day was a good price.
If only it was in a different colour I would defo buy, wouldn't match anything in my kitchen though.

Edit: Red this price too.

HOT, HOT, HOT! Just reserved on-line really good price. I have wanted one of these for a while.

Looks like a good price. How do they compare both in quality of coffee but also cost per coffee with the Nespresso machines?

Great deal. Had my old model for 2 years and use it daily. Still going as strong as day one, so I can't justify a new one though.

I got one of these for crimbo last year...fantastic!! Also got it in red for same price!!

Absolutely fantastic coffee, as good as you buy in starbucks etc

Oh and the Chocochino is stunning !

They have a similar version in black at Asda for £49.

Can't get link to work - just search 'Dolce Gusto' at Asda Direct.

Damn pity it's White, still HOT though!

Reserved the white one. The Red would go well in a black or white kitchen right enough.

Red also available at £35.99

The cartridges for these machines are a bit expensive had to stick to my classic expresso maker

Hot price. Have reserved one !

Red also available at £35.99

The ones at £35.99 are the Dolce Gusto Piccolo which have the 0.6L water tank, the spec on the argos site is incorrect at 1.3L

They list the Dolce Gusto at £64.90 in Ivory White for the model with 1.3L

best coffee machine on the market no one has ever complained about the drinks from this and when ever someone comes round they ask for a cappacino, not sure of this model but it just shows how over priced these are from the start, when u have people buying the pods all the time there making money so why make them so over priced to buy the machine, the new model for £150 looks like a spare tyre who will buy that!.
Get one and register online u can then collect the boxes with numbers inside to build up for points to get free stuff but do note i worked it out u need 18 boxes to get one free....lol

Thanks for the heads-up. I've updated the thread for the Red model:

They also have the Fontana at a very good price of £47.99 and it holds 1 litre. I have the original one that holds 1.3L, i'm afraid 0.6L is just about enough for 2 cups so not great really but a very good price none the less. You collect points on the Dolce gusto website for every box you buy, £3.48 per box (tesco) and you get 10 points per box (160 points get's you a box)

Costs are as follows:

Cappuccino/Latte:- £0.43 per cup (8 drinks per box)
Americano/Espresso:- £0.22 per cup (16 drinks per box)

It does make beautiful coffee.....

im considering a coffee machine but now im unsure which one to buy! have the senso quad thingy on reserve also the delonghi magnifica and the gaggia berea and now this one.

i like the idea of fresh coffee beans but has anyone here got one or had one and a pod machine who can give me a good review are the bean to cup machines worth the extra money?

Whats the difference between this and the senseo?

just reserved one of these in red. cheers op.
does anyone know the best place to buy the pods/refills?

Anyone got any Argos Free Delivery Codes? "AFD" and "WFD" aren't working and my order is over £50! Thanks!

I checked Mysupermarket.com and the pods are the same price at all the major supermarkets atm

Whats the difference between this and the senseo?

This machine is pressurised at 15bar, the senseo is like a filter coffee machine. I have had both and this makes by far the superior coffee. The senseo pods are slightly cheaper and you can also get a "eco-refilable" (not sure if thats a word) pod of ebay t put your favourite ground coffee into (works out even cheaper again)

Does this make a decent sized cup or a tiny espresso thimble like some of the others.

Bought one of these in red the other day and they are great!
Only gripe is that the water holder is a bit too small...
Have ordered pods from their site and also got some in Tesco

Honestly this one is the best especially the Latte. Nicer than a coffee shop

Posted a Philips Senseo deal myself recently, This is MUCH better reserved one Thanks OP

Has anyone compared this with the 'Tassimo T40' and if so how do they compare. Thank you.

So, has anyone roughly worked out how much, say, a decent sized Cappuccino works out as with one of these?

Tempted, but I suspect these things are bit like cheap printers and printer inks.

how much do the coffe tabs cost though? thats probably where you lose the value

I was looking on Amazon (only place I've found them via an easy search), and there's a seller selling 16 cappuccino capsules (8 coffee, 8 milk) for £7.45. If it's one big cup per 2 capsules, that's 92p a cup! Much cheaper than Costa, perhaps, but still pricey for a cup of coffee.

If anyone with one of these can correct me with my calculations, I'll be more than happy for them to do so.

Just picked this up after reserving it at my Argos which is literally just up the road!! Got it out the box and within 5 minutes i was sitting down to an amazing latte!! was so quick and easy!! I got it in white cause it looks amazing in my white and black kitchen!! Registered online and im getting a free pack of pods sent to my house!! Away to buy a multi pack off eBay cause they are so expensive in Tescos!

No they are not that expensive. They are about £3.50 for 16 pods from any supermarket (8 cappucino and 8 creamers). They were also available recently from Viking Direct at buy two, get one free (http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nescafe-dolce-gusto-pods-bogof-viki/804488/#post9873906) but it may have expired now.
