If you’re in the market this is a pretty good deal. I have a Docle Gusto machine and the coffee is very tasty but it is notoriously expensive.
Coffee quite expensive but you can find sometimes deals. Not a wide range of coffees. What I don't get, is the machine's price. Got this one at Christmas time for £30. Including £30 voucher for coffee pods. I guess you pay for the coffee, not the machine. My cousin got this one 2 months ago for £49.99, £40 voucher for pods. So you can get it cheaper, you basically pay for the coffee. I got a Tassimo as well and I prefer it, better range of coffee.

Like many things once you are in their ecosystem you have to buy their product.
Just like printer ink or razor blades the machine is a loss leader in the expectation you’ll keep buying the consumables.
Poundland do counterfeit pods, they ain't great, but drinkable.
Pods from Cafè Royal are great and cheaper. They always give you a 30% off coupon when you subscribe to their mailing list.

Lollllllllllll really funny ;-)
Counterfeit BUT drinkable I agree they can be expensive coffees , nobody should bother with buying the machine if they go for second best.

This is why Nespresso is better in my opinion, the machines are generally a bit more expensive but all supermarkets stock compatible pods that are cheaper and nice. And the milk based drinks don't use powdered milk with Nespresso.

I don't use either, used to have Dolc Gusto machine but I drink too much coffee and it was expensive, I use a non pod Gaggia now and gring beans as I need them for it.

Nespresso and Dolce Gusto are both Nestle owned, just catering to different markets.

Interesting that they are both owned by Nestlé, I didn't know that.
Still a good deal but worth pointing out the travel kit isn't really 'worth £40' it's just got a stupid RRP. You only get 16 americano pods which is one box so like £4 - £4.50 at the supermarket. So the mug + stand is supposedly £36 in that scenario...nah.
