Nescafe Dolce Gusto Melody Blue Coffee Machine was £99.50 now £44.50 @ Tesco Direct (Free Click and Collect)

Found 4th Sep 2013
Found this while looking for a pod coffee machine for moving into a flat and found this on Tesco Direct - a lot cheaper than anywhere else that I could find (£70-£110).

Seems like a good price for a good brand, been using the Nescafe Dolce Gusto Piccolo up until now and always loved the coffee from that, especially the Lungo capsules! Only real downside is that the capsules themselves can be quite pricey. I tend to wait for a good multi-deal then bulk up on caffeine-y goodness!

Free to collect in store, or delivery from £3.00.

Hope this helps someone.

Not been able to find any cheaper capsules that fit the nescafe machines. Found asda occasionally reduce the packs to <£2 so I bulk up on them then.

Didn't know about that but looks like the free coffee deal ended on the 31st august, been replaced by free £10 online credit.

Cheers Toby

I have one its makes really nice coffee I usually drink the 'Americano' you can get 48 pods for £11.31 on amazon which works out at about 24p a cup which I think is cheap, the only problem I find is the fancy drinks like coca, latte etc requires 2 pods (1 coffee, 1 milk) so it double the price per cup.

Great first post, thanks tobymillard and welcome to HUKD

I purchased the dg genio automatic play and select and it's great , also have a tassimo t40 that's great too and a kenwood kmix filter. Machine i love my coffee.

The genio was £59.95 from currys normally £119.95

For £44 this is a bargain and chocochino is awesome .

And minimum you can order is 4 items.

Tempted

I've had three of these machines all, thankfully, bought on a cheap offer like this. Every one has stopped working within 12 months of one-cup-in-a-morning use.

Wish i could find the caps for £2. Ive stopped using mine since the first batch using the included money off voucher. Its always £3.77 per 16 in supermarkets which makes amazon dearer. From noticing deals on here, it seems that Tassimo caps are reduced regularly and there is also alternatives out there. Starting to think that brand would have been a better option

none left on website

Out of stock online - gutted!

Tried again and now showing, if you get an unavailable message don't give up.
Thanks Op - ordered!

How would you compare it to the Tassimo?

Just checked online and still in stock!

How would you compare it to the Tassimo?

I have the t40, bad design in loading the pods the foil goes down which it pierces through making a mess whereas the gusto ones it pierces the top and doesn't fill the machine with bits

I think there both good however I find the dolce easier to find the pods in shops and the hot chocolate is nicer but I have both so I have a choice qnd get pods in bargains when they come up. Does any one have and dealings with nespresso.

You can subscribe and save at a 5% discount at Amazon for the pods. Or if you have some spare cash an love you coffee, you can buy 5 packs (48 units in a pack) from Amazon in the same month on subscribe and save and you will save 15%.

a decent deal at 15% as these do not seem to move down in price< or at least I have never seen many on sale.

they don't accept Electron!

Amazed this is still on stock and at Tesco of all places......notorious for pulling a deal mid-afternoon and sending out "Sorry" emails to all those who ordered in the morning.

I am quite confident I am going to actually get this.

Perhaps people went mad with the other Nespresso models with the £40 credit offer before the 31st August deadline (was tempted myself). This works out slightly more expensive which might explain why it is not as hot as it should be. But it is a great deal.

Bought this, pick up tomorrow

Dunno about the coffee, but it looks like a scutter from Red Dwarf!

Cheapest standard price these days is their own. Cheaper than ASDA etc and free p&p seems to be standard now.

The cheapest normal price for pods is there own web site, cheaper than ASDA etc and free p&p is now standard.

Says in stock but when trying to checkout I get this:
"Sorry, we don't have enough Nescafe Dolce Gusto Melody Blue by DeLonghi items in stock right now. This item (s) has been added to your save for later basket. You can try to purchase this item again by reducing its quantity."

I'm only trying to buy 1

Looks like its dropped to £14.50 now but showing only as 'register for stock updates' unfortunately! Seen somebody has put up the new deal so I'll take this off as soon as I've worked out how on the android app :P

as I was about to put the payment tesco pulled it from my basket as it was OOS

£14.50 ! How did that happen?

Well I am only on here to update folks that mine (at £44.50 I hasten to add) is on the way to store so all those who ordered yesterday (Thursday) should get them.

Considering that you get £10 towards coffee pods (with free p and p from their own website) the £14.50 price would have been ridiculous.

I have the Tassimo and use it several times a day...was asking for this as wanted a present for a friend...my pods never make a mess...either your machine is faulty or you are closing then reopening the pod holder, leading to several piercings and therefore a mess?

Looks like the £14.50 was a pricing error and tesco are cancelling the orders made at that price. So whether it really is out of stock or not now is a mystery.

To be honest I expected the £44.50 to be deemed a mis-price and thought it might be cancelled so at £14.50 I would have thought cancellation was a given.

I myself have ordered half a dozen things from Tesco and got the "we're sorry" email and a refund so I know that a confirmation email means nothing.

So the £44.50 price point is the genuine bargain. At the £14.50 price point it REALLY falls into the mis-price category and
all that follows.

Edited by: "bemad" 6th Sep 2013

the £14.50 price has been honored and alot of people have already collected from store for £14.50

I got 2 for £14.50 over the moon thanks MJ1981 x

Got mine yesterday - great machine. Thanks for posting.

I've got 2 waiting at my local store and my account has £29 taken so they're all mine at £14.50 each!! *evil laugh*
