Did I hit a nerve?
How would you buy something that conditions you to the taste and concentration of your brew? ......as against full customisation and barrister flexibility by brewing the traditional way using a kettle. Its also cheaper to just boil the water and you don't have to keep buying the refill pods fgs!

This is a forum to post deals. Regardless of how you critique the subtle taste of a coffee bean and the way it is so lovingly produced for you, it's still a good deal.

Someone hasn't had their coffee this morning!

maybe people just have just have a different opinion than yourself. I think you’ll find most people don’t “customise” their coffee and have it the same strength and combination every time. Also you can make fancier coffee combinations that most people would go to a coffee shop to get made which do cost more than the pods. Surely if you just buy anything and use it regularly you are conditioned to that product. I don’t drink coffee as I don’t like it and am a tea drinker but I am not ignorant enough to believe everyone else should have my opinions and I understand the phrase different horses for different courses. That’s why you got the reply from someone not because you hit a nerve with anyone.

Why and how can you compare the coffee machine to instant coffee via a kettle. its a great deal this is why its on here!
Ps a kettle will cost you a lot more money to boil than the 8 or 10 seconds it takes to make a hot coffee via the machine
I bought tassimo but wish I had this as I've seen loads of cheap pods that's are compatible with these machine so heat
I got this before Christmas when the 10 box deal was live. Great machine for what it does. Could'nt afford a bean to cup so this is doing the job for now

I have both, and prefer the tassimo for temperature, but this machine ( DG Mini Me) is a more versatile machine, as it can deliver JUST water if you wish, without the need for a special disc (as with the tassimo) OR the need to remove the spout.

Yes, the downside of the Tassimo is the (as yet) lack of compatible pods. I was in my local COSTA the other day, on the day it's dishwasher had packed-up (nice girl) so all drinks were in takeaway cups. (25p cheaper if yer bring yer own ) I couldn't tell the difference between the Latte I was served v either my DG or Tassimo drinks...but fer the price, obviously, where 1 COSTA drink = 8 Tassimos or DG's HELL it'd be cheaper to buy a bottle of MONIN syrup, and break-out the excellent CONTIGO (stay hot or cold) Travel mug

Same here, just got one. I had Dolce Gusto and did not like as not much variety with regards to pods. Tassimo has much more variety. The issue I face now is the Tassimo pods are only the genuine ones and expensive. So yes, variety at a cost. DG pods are cheaper, but more important, you find these made by various companies with prices starting at £1 per box. Just paid £8 for 16 Tassimo drinks and £2 for 16 Dolce Gusto drinks...Alsop, this is a real deal, if you've got the Tassimo with the £20 vouchers, you will sopon realise it is cheaper to get your pods from the supermarket.

As opposed to Tassimo machine coming with vouchers, this is in reality a deal. Voted hot, only the pods cost £25 if on sale and £32 if not on sale. Much better deal than the £20 voucher deal coming with Tassimo. At least with this you get 8 boxes, no restrictions.

With Tassimo, you have to use one £10 at the time, the minimum order needs to be £25, to save postage you need to buy minimum £30 worth of pods. At the end you spend about £31-32 minus £10 for 6 boxes. Cheaper at supermarket.

To make it worse, you cannot use the voucher on bundles, so you're basically forced to pay £4 or £5 per pod. The best you can get is 8 x £4 boxes for £22 when using the voucher, which is £2.75 per box. Slightly better than 3 for £10 at supermarket, however not much variety for the £4 ones, so you will probably buy some £5 ones too. Not much of a deal as you can get 3 boxes for £10 at supermarket.
