Since buying my nespresso machine last year I have shopped around for the cheapest compatible nespresso capsules. Tried the finest coffee club and wasn't keen. Cafepod are good but expensive. Came across these on Amazon and they are the best by far. Works out at 10p per cup.

Good reviews. I usually buy the Gimoka brand on Amazon so I'll give these a go. Thanks for the post.

Tempted to try these pods things - what's the cheapest option in terms of machines?

Probably along the lines of a nespresso inissia machine. Often with good deals available around £65 mark but has been less. We have one and it's reliable.

I was tempted but I thought I'd just check the validity of the reviews as 100 is a lot of cups of coffee...not a good result.

I got mine shortly after black friday last year on an amazon deal. I suspect some deals will come up around black friday time

I don't think I have tried Gimoka brand. Any good? I like Cafepod and these that I have posted.

Gimoka is ok IMO. Prefer the intense one, although the de-caf is pretty good as well. Usually sells for £20 for 100 capsules. Never had an issue using them in the Nespresso machine.

I wonder how that works whirly? I purchased these are for the money they are very good, hoping they stay at this price because the pods work out to be half of what I am paying for my cafepods. I haven't left a review on amazon but from what I can see from those that have, the pictures and videos look to show the same product.

My guess is that it checks the other reviews left by each reviewer and looks for patterns that denote them as fake.

Anyway, I might try them based on your review - can I ask, what are they like in a latte?

Was trying almost all of them compatible capsules from Tesco or Asda. Best one for now are LOR Gold but they are around £2.5 anyway and Aldi's Italian one are not bad as well but going for this! Tfp heat for me!

I like the LOR Gold too but very rarely in stock and still work out rather expensive.

That would make sense, buy yes, I watched the video and the crema was exactly the same as what I got. Was great in a latte Whirly.

Cold, robusta beans, aka nescafe / kenco quality

do they do possibly similar alternatives for the dolce gusto pods?

Edit: just found them

L'Or capsules are £2 in Morrisons at the minute.

I am tempted to try these though. Is the flow good? I find a lot of the compatible capsules don't work great and the coffee just dribbles out.

On a side note, has anyone tried any reusable capsules?

So far I always find the nespresso originals the best by far but it does get expensive.. Tried a few compatible ones and reckon the aldo and even Lidl ones are not bad at all.. Don't like the cafe pod or taylors.. And by far think the Starbucks ones are really awful.. They don't fit my machine properly with the flow weird.. Anyway these might be worth a punt.. Any other experience on pods?
