Automatic blend recognition

There's no need to ever change your machine's settings with the Nespresso by Magimix Vertuo Plus M600 Coffee Machine. Every Vertuoline pod is automatically recognised by your coffee machine, allowing you to get that perfectly blended cup of coffee each and every time with the push of a button.

Centrifusion technology

When you place a capsule into the coffee machine the unique Centrifusion technology spins the pod up to 7000 rotations a minute, blending ground coffee with hot water to produce the perfect layer of foam to complement your freshly brewed beverage.

Fast heat up time

Sometimes you want a great coffee to set you up for the day without having to wait. With the Nespresso Vertuo Plus, it takes just seconds to pre-heat your machine, allowing you to get that awake feeling when you most need it.

One button

You don't need to be a barista to make a great cup of coffee. The touch of one button is all it takes for the machine to whir to life, producing a cup worthy of rivalling your favourite café with every use.

Great design

The Magimix Vertuo Plus houses a larger capsule container and a larger, movable water tank that can be placed according to the configuration of your kitchen. There's no need to move your kitchen around to accommodate your coffee machine.

Voted cold - this uses the new Nespresso capsules which can't be manufactured by anyone else. This means you are locked into buying from Nespresso.
Great machine and fabulous Coffee.
It's not cheap Coffee but I didn't buy a decent pod machine to then buy 'compatible' pods which I have found are never as good as the proper Nespresso pods (once you've found the one/ones you like).
Little rant over!
I paid £129 on promo for the same machine in black - this is a belter of a price.
This machine does a really good job. You can make coffee from 40ml to 415ml!!.
That is espresso size to a really big cup size. You can make 4 cups (230ml) for £2.08 that is way cheaper than your local Starbucks etc. The quality of the coffee is amazingly good, I am that sad that I roast my own coffee beans and normally use a £950 coffee machine. You can’t compare this to home roasted coffee or using an expensive machine, but it is not miles away from what I can make. I am happy drinking coffee from this machine.

No, it is like saying a cheap car is a bad deal because if only runs on petrol bought from one supplier at twice the price you can buy it elsewhere.

Hi, can you provide more info on this as I want to buy a Nespresso machine but the inability to use other nespresso captisble pods is putting me off buying the vertuo models.

Currently you can only buy Vertuo capsules from Nespresso. The older pod type machines take all sorts of compatible pods now. So it depends what you’d prefer!

Can you point us in the direction of someone else producing capsules for this other than Nespresso themselves?

It makes it a bad deal as you are not just buying the machine, you are buying a machine that can only be used by buying consumables from the manufacturer.

The capsules are worth £35 alone, never mind the travel mug! Making the machine come £50 or less, seems like a very good deal.

Although I can't point you to a producer of capsules, lots of people fill their own capsules, like this gentleman from the US does with his Freedom Refill Hack. I do something very similar using an egg cuber to put a medium-heavy duty foil on (the one I got looks identical to this and the lid is just the right shape to pop the foil on!). But his technique instead of foil uses Glad press and seal plus foil to seal the lid. It's not easy to get hold of (issues with safety??) but I bought a roll from Amazon US and it works very well as his video series shows.
His video has the following underneath

"Don't risk breaking your machine by following the wrong video."

I guess this is a case of caveat emptor.

Yeah I think that goes without saying, although I think the machine is quite solid, and pretty cheap for what it is (see spinn.com for a non subsidised model) obviously using it outside its normal operating parameters might wear it out sooner but it does state that its a hack...

don't let it put you off as the coffee is by far the best of the pod machines. I tried all before settling on nespresso

Thanks, just bought the machine and once I've got through the free pods I'm going to try this.
Doesn't look too difficult and the 'Glad Press & Seal' can be had from Amazon UK for a tenner or a quid less on Ebay.

BTW, the guy in the video has the most annoying voice in the world.

Not that far outside it's parameters by the look of it, not sure it would be an issue.

It’s not. You are missing the point so I’ll get straight to it - if you want a Vertuo machine then this is a good deal. Find another Vertuo machine for less?

No, that is exactly what this is like. A Vertuo machine can only be used with Vertuo capsules. Whether it is a good deal or not is not limited to the purchase price of the machine. You also have to factor in the price of the consumables which you are locked into.

It's an interesting thought. As the coffee for this is only available from Nespresso, you'd potentially be better off taking one of their subscription plans and getting the machine for £1. The cheapest seems to be £35/mo, so £421 for £420's worth of coffee and this machine.

Yes but that's only applicable if you would be using the machine very regularly - otherwise you don't really want to invest so much every month. I only use my machine at weekends; I certainly don't want to have a £35 monthly outlay for that little usage.

----

My biggest gripe with the Vertuo line is how they often give Limited Edition capsules to the Original line, but not to vertuo; I'd buy a Vertuo machine if it was the other way around, and that would mean I can literally only ever use Nespresso capsules. It's seems flawed that if I want to get more Limited Edition capsules, I should keep the Original line.

Fair point. However, the credit doesn't expire, so you just need to figure out how much you'd expect to spend on coffee and consumables over the lifetime of the unit.

It'd take me around 3.5 years to use that many capsules; the saving between a £1 machine and a £30 machine (£80-capsule value ish) is £29 - I don't see a £420 investment worth £10 saving annually across a 3 year period.
This really is a funny old place.

Virtually all Original line capsules, minus L'or, are crap anyway. Don't buy into a premium brand and then buy shit.

100% yes. I had a Nespresso machine and no other brand was as good for pods, even the "premium" ones.

I have since migrated to a bean to cup machine and would definitely recommend this over a Nespresso now, both for quality and overall cost.
If this was £50 cheaper (£29.99) I would seriously consider getting one

Travel Mug?????
I bought one and the 230ml and 400ml Coffee's are horrible, I ended up falling back on the Lungo Coffee... which at that point I might as well just have stuck with the old Nespresso Machine. Also the Coffee isn't even that hot, so you have to warm up your Milk first, you still cannot have a 230ml cup and add cold milk.
