That is a good price. Shame they've stopped the £40 voucher they used to give to spend on-line at the Nespresso website. Anybody know if this is coming back?

same price at Lakeland but use code EK11 for a further £5 off

I prefer the coffee from this machine to the 3 big coffee chains. Even the strongest espresso isn't bitter.
The Aeroccino works well for both Cappuccino and Latte froths using skimmed milk and heats up quickly.

If you're not sure what coffee to start with I'd recommend Arpeggio which, while strong-ish, it has no bitterness at all and has a really smooth velvety taste (and as a bonus it's one of their cheaper pods!)

Agree with The_KELRaTH - we've had this machine now for 2 years. The coffee it produces is brilliant; it's rare we find a high street one that tastes anything like as good. The only problem (for me) has been the aeroccino (the milk frother bit) which keeps breaking down. That's easy (but not cheap) to replace now the guarantee has expired.

I'd actually ordered originally from Lakeland but their delivery date was 10 days time rather than next day if you have Prime.

I cycle through arpeggio, ristretto, rosabiya, indriya and roma which are all 'tasty', whereas Mrs Harper likes the weaker cosi. The decaffs are also good. Before we get a 'bean to cup' or 'manual espresso' brigade on here, Nespresso give you the best in-home coffee without the faff and you can have a variety at your fingertips which is of consistently superb quality and in sealed capsules for freshness. The 'eco brigade' should note that the aluminium capsules are recycled by Nespresso for free - and Alu is the most recyclable metal there exists.

Note all machines come with a sampler of 1 of each of the 16 standard 'grands crus' they do so you can make your own mind up. Service to order capsules from them is also very good though there's a minimum order of 200 capsules to get free delivery. Warranty is 3 years on the machines with a loaner if it goes wrong, and 2 years on the aeroccino. All Nespresso machines make the coffee consistently and the 'same' between machines.

Very good price.
I got it for my OH's Bday and he loves it.
I did calcs on the price of normal espresso machine filled with Illy coffee (other coffee my OH likes) and this and the price comes pretty much the same per coffee, depends where you buy your Illy from.
And this is very easy. No constant cleaning like with original espresso machine (of similar price) where you have to empty the head from coffee all the time.

love mine! best coffee ever. When I am London I pop into selfridges and try some different pods, this is a free service and you can also buy the coffee too. Look out for special editions, these seem to be very expensive on ebay once they are out of production. Also customer service is excellent. One of pods was jammed in the machine and whist I was on the phone I was advised to lift the lever very hard, I was reassured that if this was to break the machine they would send me a replacement free of charge (it worked anyway). Also had an offer before christmas of a free aerocinno when you purchased a specified amount of coffee which was a nice extra. Ultimately it is the speed in which you can make a perfect coffee before running out the door in the morning. I actually save money as I do not waste money in expensive coffee shops anymore.

Got mine a couple of days ago. Espresso, Capuccino and latte are all fabulous and easy. Struggling to find a good recipe for a large Americano style drink though.

Wow I guess I will have to give it a try, I never believed the hype of the "pods" machine.

To Craftycanary

You may like the lungo pods as they make a 110 ml coffee. Also some people change the strength by adjusting the water amounts. I make a lungo and use half the amount of skimmed milk ( makes the frothiest milk)in the aeroccino.
I have also tried Dualit pods from Costco in the machine and coffee nowhere as good as Nespresso, not worth the 5p saving.

Enjoy your coffee

I ordered via Amazon and the expected delivery date was 13th Feb. I also got a despatched notification. I'm sure it may well have been delivered sooner.

Anyone else had problems with the Aeroccino3 unit? We got a Nespresso for Christmas and the Aeroccino broke on its SECOND use! Whenever we put it on the base, the blue light turns on and it starts to cold whisk....it won't let us select a hot whisk at all. We've tried resetting the base unit etc with no luck.

When I googled about this unit, it turns out they can be VERY unreliable.

Is this the one where you can get refillable pods from eBay and the like?

There are 'alternative' pods available for these on eBay but they're fiddly to use and the actual coffee is so grim that you'd be better off having instant (!)

With Nespresso you just have to accept that their coffee will cost more because of its high quality, but it's actually worth it.

One scam to look out for on eBay is people selling official Nespresso pods at higher prices than Club Nespresso the official supplier do themselves. What they do is order whatever flavours you want from Club Nespresso paying the normal price and have them delivered to your address. They then pocket whatever the difference is with what they've (over)charged you.

Wife paid 130 2 weeks ago

Not usyalky a fan of pod coffee machines but this one produces ok coffee unlike the disgusting stuff produced by our previous unreliable junk dolce gusto

Caffe Impresso pods look pretty good and are cheap on ebay

I bought a Magimix L'Espresso a couple of years ago - and it never worked properly. It's so useless it can't even pump water through espresso coffee. I don't know how much time I wasted trying different types of coffee, different grinds, varying tamping --- but it was equally useless under any condition. I wouldn't buy Magimix again, for sure.

Mine arrived on Friday. Used it a few times with Caffe Impresso pods. Only slight issue is that the coffee is hot, but not kettle hot like I'm used to. Anyone else find this, does the amount of time it's on mean the elements get hotter?

I wouldn't even call it "hot". If you don't drink it straight away it's practically cold. IAnd the different capsule flavours aren't so wonderful. I'd rather use a conventional espresso machine (a Gaggia and Lavazza red ground).

Ah, can't beat the coffee snobs! The Nespresso makes lovely coffee without the fuss and mess.
