I have 5 10-packs of of Cosi flavour (7434.40) - all with expiry date of 31.12.15. I'll set up a for sale thread.

If you absolutely MUST own a capsule/pod machine. It can only be a Nespresso.

Great coffee. I've had nespresso machines over 5 years now. Can't be doing with instant coffee these days.

These are higher pressure than other machines and the higher the pressure usually the better the coffee.

I am using it for 5 1/2 years now . Excellent machine (have the Krups) no problems so far and best coffee

Hot. Ordered one.

What price do you normally pay per 100/200 coffees ? Each 200 pack pod capsule goes for around £50-65? Would I be better of with a different coffee machine that is cheaper per pod?

Thank you OP, I just ordered a red one for my girlfriend. These Krups machines are very well designed and they just work with no hassle.

Quite a few third party companies also sell nespresso compatible pods too (never heard of a nespresso sachet as per previous post). Aldi and Tesco stock a range of pods.

Does/has anyone used these before? If so, what are your thoughts?

Also worth noting that, from what I can see, the official Nespresso capsules are the only ones that are recyclable whereas all of the others are terrible and are a) made of plastic that cannot be recycled and b) come in a single packet per capsule for freshness - again, cannot be recycled.

However I did purchase a pack of the Lidl ones and you can easily, really easily, create your own capsules once you've used them. Empty the capsule, fill with your coffee and cover the top with foil. Really simple and a nice way to recycle them.

Ha, I never thought of that. Had that username for many years and nothing to do with being green, although my surname is Green.

Bought this on last Cyber Friday at John lewis, reduced to £75. We claimed £75 worth of coffee pods. It was a real bargain.

You can use compatible pods like these Carte Noire - £6 for 40 capsules:

Fine Coffee Club. Coffee is nice and the pods come in a cardboard sleeve, the same as official Nespresso, which is 100% recyclable.

Personally haven't used them, but i did alot of research into different options for using my own coffee of choice instead of being tied to the Nespresso range. Settled on the Capsul'in empty pods which work out to be around 8p each. Fill them up with your own choice of illy, Lavazza, Starbucks or whatever and away you go. I usually fill about 12 capsules at a go which will last me the week... takes about 10 minutes to do.

Cleaning out a used capsule and the mess that comes with it first thing in the morning just wasn't my cup of tea.

The tricky bit is getting the grind to the right grade ... standard espresso grind is too fine with my Krups machine and it struggles to get any coffee out of the pods. I get it ground to a grade 4.5 ... and that works for me.

Titanium one OOS now!
