There are no milk based pods in the nespresso range. The aerocinno device in the picture above makes the frothy milk for you. You can get more expensive nespresso machines that do automatic milky drinks but the cost 4x as much

We have an Aeroccino here at work exactly the same as this one. Very easy to use and rinse but if anything makes the milk too frothy so you might want to not leave it the full cycle (30 seconds I believe).

It also heats the milk as it froths although you can choose no heat if you like (presss and hold the start button and it lights up blue instead of red)

For £100 for both and £70 worth of capsules thrown in you can't lose.

We have the big Nespresso with milk steamer on the side. Much harder to clean than the Aerocinno and you tend to waste Q a bit of milk as there's always some left in it. Doesn't get used since we got the Aerocinno.

Can anyone explain why the Aerocino is better than a mug of milk in the microwave and a little milk frother? It looks like classic worktop junk to me (like the juicer and breadmaker in the attic!) - space-occupying and more trouble to wash up than it's worth.

The voucher is given as a gift card and can be used for any item online/phone/boutique not just coffee pods.

It's a great gadget, it heats the milk from cold and helps make an almost perfect cappuccino.....but as you say, if you're already making the milk another way, they may be no need for it

You can get generic "Nespresso pods" from Sainsburys and Costco

Convenience, no skin on the milk, no burnt milk, you can do the barista pouring of the frothed milk into the coffee if you want to be flash. But mainly just convenient.

That is cheap - I may try these. Hope they work as the last lot of "compatible" fill your own capsules that I bought off ebay were useless.

This offer is amazing. I'm going to sell the Nespresso machine and Aerocino on ebay and keep the £70 voucher - cheap coffee for months.

Hey! I've used my bread maker alomst every week for a couple of years now (the juicer is stuck away in a cupboard somewhere though ).

Does it go in the dishwasher? Try the microwaved mug of milk technique, I reckon washing up that Aerocino is a waste of time!

Are these little coffee shots so popular? I'd rather have a large mug full than a mouthful, but each to their own.

Costco i got 60 for £9.99, usually for 60 for £12.99 which are both cheaper than the real thing

Sainsburys also have them on special offer sometimes.

Oh God, why get a dishwasher when there's a perfectly good sink and your own hands blah blah blah etc.

The dualit and cafe pod ones taste no where near as good! The Aeroccino heats the milk to the right temperature therefore complementing the coffee, if you microwave it you could overheat the milk and that spoils the taste of the coffee. Aeroccino heats and froths the milk at the same time, it's non-stick and waterproof, so easy to clean but Each to their own.

Has anyone applied for the voucher yet? I've just bought the machine and wondered if anyone has recieved their voucher yet or had problems with the "nespresso club" before. Thanks!

It me or is £0.30 per cup a bit high? Making 5 at once, two or three times a day will be £31.50 per week! (excl milk and sugar).

Would be nice to see ~0.10p per cup! Can they be bought in bulk to drive the price down?

I had an older machine given to me when a friend bought a bigger version. Works great the coffee is some of the best tasting around, and knocks high street coffee on its ass. In addition I bought a product called coffee ducks, they are plastic refillable pods that work great and you can use what ever espresso grade coffee grounds. Makes it a little cheaper

is the voucher for new customers only?

It is the top quality of the coffee that you would pay £2+ for in a shop, so 29p is great value.

Quality costs!

Researched how to drive it down, enjoy paying .29p. Quality costs remember.

sooo tempted. Cant see a better deal out there...

Glad I waited, just picked it for £50 on an amazon black friday deal - if people are still looking, black friday deals tend to repeat over the week so keep your eye out.

Sorry to say this never came back around - which is a shame as I'm already in love with it and was going to pick up another one for the office.

Well I got mine and sent the £70 offer off on Thursday. Hopefully a quick turnaround on the gift card arriving.....

Mine arrived too and was sold within the week as brand new on ebay - got my money back (less fees) and a nice £70 worth of coffee pods when the claim goes through.
Bought another one from John Lewis this weekend to do the same :-)

Genuinely hadn't considered that!

Cannot be used in conjunction with any
other Nespresso promotion, offer or discount.
• Only one application may be redeemed
for each Nespresso coffee machine purchased.
• Offer limited to two applications per household/company. We do not accept bulk or third party applications.

So doing it twice and flogging on the 2nd machine seems fair play as long as the buyer is aware that they cannot register the machine or get the offer.

I've got the same, I believe someone said you cannot use the £70 to claim the coffee pods though.

Well I suppose you can as it's max. 2per address but the buyer from you should in fairness be told the serial number has been used?

I doubt it - surely that's what the vouchers are for - what else could they be used for ??

Edit: I've just spoken to Nespresso and they have confirmed that the voucher gets applied to your account as a credit and can be used to buy anything in the Nespresso online shop - so coffee pods, accessories or machines.

You need a valid proof of purchase for the machine as well as the serial number sticker to claim for the voucher, so the person buying on ebay wouldn't be getting that as I have the John Lewis receipt and the sticker goes on the application form.
