Total madness to spend this much on a nespresso. Get any other Sage machine and it will blow this out of the water. Specifically, get the Bambino Plus and you'll be making better coffee than your favourite coffee shop in no time.
I've had my Bambino plus for almost exactly a year now. Here are the costs: (Milk/chocolate for cappuccino/mocha not included)

£200 smart grinder pro (just upgraded to a mazzer major but the SSP is fine for starters)
    £285 bambino plus
£30 for a good leveler/tamper. (You also want a bottomless portafilter ideally but it's not required)
£263 on 16.75kg of fresh good coffee. (mostly single origin >87 cup scores)
(I've also spent £40 on a vacuum sealing machine and bags to freeze the coffee fresh and take it out in bits)

    £818 total.

This has produced just over 900 mugs after working on dialling in etc.

This comes out at 91p/mug. (Probably around £1 after milk etc) - Slightly more expensive than nespresso until you reach around 2500 mugs I'd suspect.

If you want to have any chance at it being better than a [half decent] coffee shop, you'll need to upgrade the £200 smart grinder to a niche zero or better, at £500.

No regrets though; It's an amazing little starter machine. The only downside to it is likely of little resell value; unlike other basic machines it's not very moddable. Will last me at least another year though as my next machine is likely a Lelit Bianca.

Crazy to spend this much on a pod machine IMO!
    Looks sick though!

Excellent machine, nice price. I have one and we love it.

I have one of these and I love it. The only downside is that you get no warning that it needs descaling and then you have to do it before you can make coffee. Still the best coffee machine I’ve ever had.
I’ve got one and get a warning - usually about 20 or 30 coffees before it needs doing

Same here. Also got one of these, had it for a couple of years so far, replaced a cheaper Nespresso citiz at the time. No regrets, if it broke, I'd buy another.
I have a cheap Nespresso machine currently
This is nearly 4/5x the price.
Out of interest what's so much better ?
I have a separate milk frother too.

Great price as hardly ever goes down this low. Had mine for two years and best decision I made.
Me too. 2 years this Black Friday and the best £280 our household ever spent!

Bought one of these for similar price a year ago to replace my nespresso with separate aeroccino, this is an excellent machine and produces lovely flat whites! HIGHLY RECOMMEMD

What's the selling point of this over a bean to cup like the Barista Express? Seems very close in price to not warrant the Express ?
    Completely different brewing

Anyone knows the difference in model number: SNE800 and BNE800?
    Silver and black I’m presuming

Paid this price 3 years ago. Best money we ever spent. Can’t recommend it enough
Any idea if the pro version is any better than this and is it worth paying the extra price

Does this model allow you to increase the temperature of the coffee or just the mllk
Just the milk. The settings allow you to set the coffee volume, milk temperature and milk froth. Personally speaking, the default coffee temperature is perfect, definitely hot enough. It's a great Nespresso machine and worth the extra cost, in my opinion.

Good machine. I use one Grind pod and one Solimo (Amazon brand) per cup and it's pretty tasty and cost-effective. The whole milk set-up also works, unlike on many, such that you can do Latte art with it if you so desire!

Does this just accept the original Nespresso pods or the vertuo pods?
