Decent deal, I got £120 selling mine second hand on ebay not that long ago.

HOWEVER, I wouldn't personally recommend this model (YMMV) as the coffee just doesn't taste very good and the milk is always super frothy regardless of setting and tastes a bit plasticky, vs a £20 milk frother off amazon which tastes like hot milk should, and other nespresso (or other coffee - I recommend the £30 caffitaly jobbos) machines where the coffee tastes basically nicer. Some reviews around confirm my suspicion that this somehow makes the normally OK Nespresso pods taste a bit rubbish. But HOT, nonetheless as this is a good price for this model.

Original Poster

Just seen they are offering £75 credit via Nespresso in 3 x£25 vouchers.
Details here:nespresso.com/mob…rms

I got one in those warehouse deals a few months ago. I'm not a coffee connoisseur but to me it tastes fine.

Milk doesn't come out warm enough though so I preheat that first.

Any promo codes anyone pls

I disagree with the poster above about the milk tasting plasticky. Yummy in my opinion (although mine does seem to have run out of frothing puff, luckily just inside the warranty from my purchase last BF!)

Disagree. Had mine a year. Coffee tastes spot on as does the milk.

Had one of these for 3 years and it's still going strong and tasting as good as the day I bought it. Time to get a new one I think with the £75 coffee offer 😁

I see there's a few lattisima owners in here, does anyone know if it's possible to buy a new milk jug for it? use ours a lot and I'd like a spare.

anything capsule based is vile. mugs.

Bought one for my wife a month ago. She loves it. She only drinks lattes so this is perfect. It's so simple - add capsule, make sure there is milk and water, press one button = latte. The temperature is perfect for her to drink immediately. No clean up (just pop the milk thing into the fridge and dishwash every couple of days) and the used pod drops into a little drawer which fits a fair few. All in all, a fantastic purchase that has earned me MANY Brownie points.
Great price too. I paid £199.

Coffee made in any off these machines and especially milky ones never come out hot as boiling water should never be used for coffee, but i always give my mug of coffee one minute in the micro before drinking. for people not liking the taste of the milk they should use semi-skimmed for frothing and never full cream.

agree with other posters...nespresso coffee pods taste great as does the milk although not hot enough

Had one for a couple of years now and think it's a good machine. Especially at the offer price and if you can get the Nespresso credit you can't complain.

Great price! I’ve had mine for about a year - I used to have a very decent dedicated espresso machine but realised I wasn’t using it much because of the hassle involved. There was no point having it really - I was making instant coffee instead of using the machine. The only good coffee machine is one that you find yourself choosing to use regularly, and because my wife and I both work from home quite often and the EN550 is really quick and simple, this gets used all the time. I agree with some that the milk could be warmer, but I use de’Longhi double-insulated glasses for lattes (they’re about £18 for two on Amazon and well worth it) which keeps it warm for longer and if I’m going to do a mug I’ll prewarm it with some boiling water. We paid £199 and I love it. If you want to save money on capsules, try out different third-party ones - Taylor’s of Harrogate make some great Nespresso capsules

The L'Or ones are really nice!

top tip: the Aldi pods are half the price of the Nespresso ones and just as good.

Avoid the newer 'Vertuoline' machines, these are a scam to lock you in to new capsules nobody has copied yet.

Had the same issue and complained to Nespresso. They suggested before I use the milk feature i hold down the black steam clean button and try that twice. It heats all the internals and wand. The milk after is nice and hot.

To try and get the coffee hotter, you can go through a coffee cycle without any pods. Warms the main coffee machine.

Exactly what I was going to say.
