Nespresso Lattissima One Coffee Machine with £50 of free Nespresso Capsules - £149 @ John Lewis & Partners

This was £219 when I checked a few days ago, now dropped to £149 at John Lewis, Currys and Amazon UK.
The £50 of free capsules comes in the form of 150 pre-selected capsules.
Also, if you then buy another 100 capsules in the next few months, you get an overpriced coffee cup free.
I have had a Nespresso Lattissima for several years and was looking to replace it and I prefer using original Nespresso capsules so this works out as a good deal for me personally...
I have tried a variety of 3rd party ones, but they don't seem to give off much of that coffee aroma when used and the taste / flavour vary from ok to meh..

Good price. Got a similar deal at £190 about 6 months ago from amazon with free capsules. If you like your latte hot. You may need to warm the mug properly first. Not sure what other machines are like.

Yeah, even the current machine is not super hot, but warm enough me. I prefer these Lattisima machines as they steam the milk unlike the others with the separate aerocinno or whatever they are called that just spin and heat it.
Shame it’s in a horrible colour.

The The white or the mocha - or both?

I think they both look naff
I got the white one of these and have used it so much more than the Tassimo it replaced. I would say this has been the lowest price so voting it hot. Mine was back in March for £210 but with an £80 Nespresso voucher.
The nespresso Virgin/SMB offer is really good, I got a latissima touch, esenza mini in black, 600 select your own capsules and paid £236 which was the price of the capsules plus £30 for both machines.. PayPal credit to with 4 months interest free. It was a cracking deal for me and the coffee will tie me over for a good few months

Is this still available please?
Good price, just be sure to avoid Nespresso coffee capusles (owner by unethical Nestlé). There are plenty of cheaper third party capsules that are cheaper, nicer to drink and are guilt-free.

Yer sure, this is the op I seen! I don’t think you have to be a virgin customer, however the terms say the offer is running until 26th Dec and I checked the link and it’s still live afaik

My main complaint and why I stopped using it is the milk frother.... it requires it as otherwise you're only getting shots of Coffee. Using the Milk frother means you get a decent cup of Coffee.... but it's such a hassle to clean constantly and put in the fridge. They really need to build a dedicated milk compartment that can cool the milk so you can forget about it. You cannot add milk after the fact either, the coffee comes out lukewarm, so adding cold milk means you have a cold cup..

I ended up switching to Bean to Cup, it has a proper milk thing built in so I just put my Milk in first and froth it and then do the coffee... simple and easy.
Or get it for £1 from Nespresso directly and pay a subscription for the coffee - own the machine after 12 months. Not for everyone but worked well for me last year.
Oh and there is no compatible that compares with the genuine capsules for taste.
I was looking at this until I watched reviews compared to the Citiz w/aerochino quite shocking! In saying that this is still a good deal!(lol)

I've brought a Neopresso machine today from Lidl only, £49.99 with a pack of free pods. Absolute bargain. Only whilst stocks last.

Buy the machine from the "unethical company" but not the capsules?

That's right. It is my understanding that they manufacture and sell the machines at a loss, because the pods are where the real revenue lies, so buying the machine and not pods is actually detrimental to them. This is also the case for Kindle Fire, incidentally; it costs more to manufacture than the selling price and Amazon relies on the purchases of their services to profit.

Not trying to be too heavy handed here, but ethical consumerism and boycotting should not be made light of. In some ways these actions are more powerful than a political vote.

Can you please expand the shocking bit? I use to own a Citiz, but was never quite happy with the non steamed milk and how easily the base of the aerocinno got burnt if you didn't clean it religiously after each use

I just watched this an I was shocked at how the milk sprays out at irregular angles and the small milk holder.

The Douwe Egberts L’or capsules are just as good.

Burnt ? Have you got the freestanding version or the one attached -an non steamed like non frothy?

I only ask because I’m torn between purchasing 1 them 2!
(I’ve had samples galore from the Citiz(y) but haven’t tried one off model above so I’m only commenting off review of this that’s steering me towards Citiz W Aerochino Attached)

My first two Nespresso machines were Citiz with the removable Aeroccino. Although the Aeroccino was mounted on the same base as the main unit, it could be removed for cleaning.
The problem (for me) with the Aeroccino is that it heats and spins the milk to froth it. This means that if you dont clean it fully after each use, and some milk film remains on the bottom, it can get burnt next time you use it.
Also, for me, the Aerocinno frothed milk did not have the same taste / texture as the steamed milked of a Latissima machine - which is closer to what you get in a coffee shop (where they steam the milk).
You can also google steamed vs frothed milk to read about the differences...
My last 3 machines have been Latissimas
Thanks for that helps me an yes I know what you mean now makes sense , I’m tired of my Dolce Gusto!
This machine is plagued with leaking issues around the milk container, of I recall correctly.

I would opt for a standalone machine with the Aeroccino or, better yet, the new Barista.

They all eventually fail due to the pressure on the pipes from either the water container or the milk nozzle.
I have bought a few broken ones off ebay and fixed em and they all exhibit the same failure no matter what make or model it is!

I love ma coffee and thought these would be great but i like a big cuppa and it takes more than 3 capsules for my coffees so just sold em - prefer to make a good cuppa anyway - nothing better than a manual milk frother italian style and a caffetiere or Aerobie aeropress!

Want really frothy milk?
Ye cant beat one of these!
amazon.co.uk/Fro…her

And besides it gives yer arm a good workout - you too can look like me!
Errrm perhaps too much information lol

These things are only good for Espresso but most folks havent a clue that an Espresso is a tiny cup of concentrated coffee!

N'espresso - says it all but not in the advert.

Funny, I have been using Nespresso machines since 2009 for my daily latte - each one has lasted me at least 2-3 years, after which I sell them on Gumtree or passed onto to a relative - when I get a new one.
One of these (that I passed onto a relative) is still in daily use after 5 years...

Which bean to cup did you go for? I’m debating between bean to cup and nespresso
Now cheaper at Curry’s £119
