Got one of these last year when my Tassimo finally died. It's a really nice machine. Bit of a fiddle to clean (especially the milk container) and you will need to descale it every few months, but worth it for the nice coffee it produces.

If you can't quite justify buying exclusively nespresso capsules, or even just aluminium ones (which tend to behave a bit better in the machine) and want a decent plastic pod option, I can recommend the Amazon Solimo ones.

Would stay away from the starbucks, from previous experience 2 or 3 in 10 fail ,lidl and aldi work well 1.79 for 10 ,cafe pod not bad ,

Agreed. If you can pick them up at a sensible price then L'Or pods are definitely my favourite pods. Offers on Amazon are typically around £20 for a 10 packs of 10 which can then be ordered on Save&Subscribe for a further discount.

If I can't L'Or pods at a sensible price then I make do with Amazon's own Solimo pods which can often be picked up for around £5 or £6 for 100. Not as nice but OK.

Yes it’s an offer run by Nespresso regardless of seller, details are on the Nespresso site with a link to use if you have bought your machine indirectly rather than direct from Nespresso: nespresso.com/uk/en/

Very good deal indeed.

You can keep the (steam) milk frothing tank off the machine if you just want espresso. (With milk in the tank, keep it in the fridge.) Yes cleaning the milk module can be a faff, but it does work brilliantly.
Descaling was mentioned - the machine tells you when its needed, but if you don't do it, eventually the machine refuses to play until you do run a descale cycle. Home Bargains "Killrock" descaler is (surprise!) massively cheaper than Nespresso's, and uses the same active ingredient...

Worth noting that since September this year the Starbucks Nespresso pods have changed manufacturer. They're now manufacturerd by Nestle, so if they've previously disappointed, the new ones may well have improved.
We have one of these machines and have had it for 2 years ish. It makes nice coffee and we have been using the Lavazza Eco compostable pods. Before that I only used aluminium for recycling purposes. I have now come to the conclusion that all these pod machines are very bad for the environment and am now looking for a bean to cup machine.
