Yes, Nespresso. The steam wand is the same tech as Sage use on the Oracle which is about £1500. Auto texturing and adjustable steam temperature.

STILL IS A FREAKING POD MACHINE!!!!

It's probably the caffeine

Same price at amazon at mo

Not sure whether this is a deal or not. most Nespresso machines retail somewhere between £80-200 (from what I've seen). But crucially they don't have a proper steam function, they have a Lattisimo or some other milk delivery gizmo.

My own Sage machine (a Duo Temp Pro) has a PID, which ensures that the water temperature is precisely controlled. I get perfect results every time (as long as I don't overtamp!)

I'm not a fan of Pod machines, I use one when I'm on holiday and it makes OKish coffee. I see their place for people with little time, or only the occasional coffee.

But.... £300 seems steep when you can get a Duo Temp Pro for the same money and is a far better piece of kit and will give you far more satisfaction in making espresso, Plus the coffee is much cheaper, at least half the cost of the capsules at around 16p per cup compared to 32p for the Nespresso capsules and you have much more choice of beans or preground to try.

Sage make decent machines. Just not sure if a nespresso one is good value at this price.

This is more the equivalent of the Oracle. This has a proper steam wand, the same tech and type used on the Oracle. As for the capsules v other means grounds/beans is a whole debate in itself, comes down to personal preference. This is a hot deal purely based on pricing vs it's normal RRP.

This is NOT the equivalent of the Oracle. The Oracle has a built in Grinder, Auto-dispenser, Full temperature control. The only thing they have in common is the Steam Wand. Actually, you've just made my mind up. This is not a hot deal. Sorry!

Obviously not for you but for anyone who is interested in this model, it is a hot deal. Same as if duo temp was on offer compared to its RRP, otherwise it would be like other people comparing it to a Cimbali or rocket etc. Sage are good machines.

Is this a pod machine?

can anyone confirm this?

can anyone confirm this?

of course it is a pod machine

Yes, it is a pod machine. Horses for courses regarding the pod or not arguement. Pod suits me as I'm an occasional drinker but like nice coffee. By the time I got half way through a bag of coffee the rest would be stale. Pod means a no fuss nice cup of Joe whene'er it takes my fancy.
