Nespresso U Coffee Machine by MagiMix.

Great tasting coffee (and I don't even drink that much of the stuff), what makes this a good deal is the gift card worth £40 - effectively making the machine £30!

Voucher is available at :
johnlewis.scene7.com/is/…pdf

Don't forget, the patent for Nespresso pods will run out soon, so generic pods will be available at a cheaper price.

All backed by John Lewis' outstanding customer service.

Very good deal.

These machines are great. Perfect for someone who wants excellent coffee with no mess! I had one before changing to a machine that uses fresh coffee. Pods are very reasonable direct to your door from nespresso and the customer service team are brilliant. Highly recommended especially for this price.

Whilst the patent has been overturned, and there's still legal battles going on, I've not heard of a date allowing competitors to produce an alternative. The ones that have tried so far have been more expensive than Nespresso and of dubious quality.

But hot for the deal!

Brilliant deal.. I have this machine and really like it! The automated system is very quick and easy to use!

i think the £40.00 is just to spend on Nespresso pods?

Anyone know how the coffee from this machine/system compares with Tassimo?

Cannot comment myself but a friend had the tassimo machine until he tried a Nespresso coffee at a second friend's house and immediately went out and bought one (but he is compulsive).

I bought this last week but with the aerocinno machine included for £99.95 from John Lewis. This comes with a £70 voucher deal. Top coffee. I also bought some dualit espresso pods from Costco (60 for £12) yesterday and I have to say they aren't a patch on the Nespresso ones. Just have to wait for my voucher to arrive now before buying any more.

or accessories or another full price machine from the Nespresso store.

Can the resting plate for the cup be moved/raised on this model in order to allow for larger cups?

yes it can be removed very easily, its a simple magnetic attachment.

i got this machine with the aeroccino3 (milk frother!) for £109.95 from John Lewis, it took a week for the £70 gift card to arrive, you can spend the credit on anything from the nespresso boutiques, online store or by phone. i'm really pleased with mine. Heat added

So roughly how many cups of coffee can you buy with the £40 voucher?

OP you sure the voucher is valid on the £69.95 model in the link?

The pods range from about 29p to 33p each so I would roughly say 120-135 coffees depending on your choice of pods

Nespresso is far better in taste and quality of coffee. Tassimo you can make other drinks than coffee and pods are available in supermarkets. Quality of Nespresso machines is very good too.

I thought this was the better deal, no? You get both for basically £30 delivered, as you get a £70 gift card.

johnlewis.com/nes…ump

I'm currently using nespresso pods made by the fine coffee club. They are good and a little cheaper then nespresso but best of all is postage is half price and free if you buy just 100.

Thanks, so if look at it as spending £70 for 120 drinks (plus elec.) its over 55p a cup.

Do Nespresso do promotions on pods like the Tassimo one that's on at the moment with free delivery etc?

was about to spend £60 on a new batch of pods and saw this offer in john lewis, went for the one with aerochino for £110 and got £70 back from nespresso, card too about 4 days to arrive, ordered before 12pm on friday and coffee was on my door saturday lunch time.

so £40 for new U and Aerocchino - what a bargain, will try and sell the old one sometime

As for capsules, tried the dualit ones from costco, which were terrible and ones from supermarkets were just as bad so gave up and just order online or from from one the boutiques they have in manchester, birmingham or london

definately the best pods machine arround, far better then the senseo and tassimo we used to own

am a bit surprised to hear that, though Dualit was a good make - maybe better at machines than the actual coffee!

This sounds good, as the current pods are really naff!

Looks good and feel like finally getting myself a coffee machine!

What are peoples views on either the 'U model or the M100? Cant see much difference from the specs!'

As far as I'm aware the basic details are the same. All seem to have the same pressure and the lady in the Nespresso boutique in Birmingham couldn't tell me anything about the U that made it worth the extra over the Essenza.

On the old Tassimo/Nespresso debate, in my experience there's no contest- Nespresso wins hands down. I bought a Tassimo for the other half a few weeks back but it didn't impress at all and came back to me to sell on. We tried out the Nespresso offering at the Tassimo boutique, promptly bought one of those and it's been in daily use since with rave reviews from her and her family. The £40/£70 vouchers offered are just icing on the cake.

It won't be as good as a bean-to-cup machine but Nespresso certainly seems to be the best pod-coffee system on the market

The U model is the latest one. Its touch keys as opposed to manual buttons, and the pod feeding system is also electronic as opposed to level based so even our 3 year old can operate it. The water tank can also be swivelled to the left or right depending on where it sits on the counter. I'd say this is currently the best model available out of all of them.

I second that. I've tried a few of the generic ones which at best were less than £1 cheaper per 10 pods and they tasted dreadful!!

I am pretty sure you can't remove the drip tray on the m100 like you can on the U which is really handy as you can use a regular sized mug

yeah definite, we've received and used card already, forget whats on the JL site, offer is with nespresso so used look at there claims form, and nespresso U with aeroccino is £70 gift card.

just be aware that you have to buy in multiples of 50 on the website now, ie make up a batch of 50, 100, 150 etc with any variation of pods, we got 250 lungos for £75

yes M100 is fixed, took me ages to find right sized cups for lungo, in the end got some from ikea, but now have a "U". definately worth the extra £10

My M100 arrived today. Must say the coffee is much, much better than Tassimo coffee! Now I have to use up all the tassimo pods I have! lol

Just picked this up as a gift for someone. Hope they aren't reading this
