Seems a good deal for one of the fancier Vertuo machines, only downside is you can’t use the 3rd party pods.

No third party pods, but you can refill pods yourself with espresso-ground coffee. Just need some tin foil. Check the You Tubes.
these things are prone to leaking too, new models on their way

It says the machine needed to be bought before 31/1/20?

Cheers bud. Have removed. Good price anyways. Heat added

Mine does exactly that. In my opinion these machines represent a poorly built mass produced product. Shame, as I quite like some of their coffees.
Lots of comments about the coffee being "better" than standard Nespresso. highly subjective of course, but I find the L'or range good quality, tastes well and fair value. Amazon's Solimo range are cheap and pretty tasty as well. Vertuo pods seem rather more expensive...

But then why bother? You might as well have a coffee machine?
Also, these don't produce a genuine crema. More a light froth... And as previously mentioned lots of issues with leakage. But if you're in the market for one its a good price.

Is that why they are doing good deals on these at the moment?

Because you can use Lavazza etc which you might prefer, for 5p a drink rather than 60p+ for the Alto size, and still get the same crema effect as the genuine capsules.

Just buy a lavazza machine... or learn how to use a coffee machine.

Not sure but likely. I have an original and have tried the new style and I’m not a fan personally. I like being able to buy other pods, I think the coffee tastes better and they’ve sorted the reliability issues out with them.

This is a good price if you want one, just be aware you’re likely to be sending it back for repair at some point.

Unfortunately, it's just a fake/flat foam as opposed to a crema which is produced via pressure in a traditional Espresso method. Hence the ridiculously massive size of it

However it is I know champion baristas who says there's a place for a Nespresso in the kitchen (not the bin :p) which I didn't expect to hear them say to be fair.

I love mine, and yes I do know coffee too

There are no 3rd party pods for the Vertuo range.

As the pod and machine are in patent to around 2030 there probably won’t be any for the best part of the decade as Nestle are known to be very aggressive if anyone tries to use their intellect property.

Sorry my comment was referring to standard pods. The lack of third party pods and variety is why I did not personally bother investing in Vertuo.
