This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Anyone considering an upgrade to the new Nespresso Vertuo machine it’s worth checking your Nespresso account.

I went to purchase a new Vertuo Plus machine as they currently have £70 off making it £129 and also have 120 free capsules with the purchase of a new machine. This was a good price so I told the guy to go for it. Upon checking out he advised that due to my account level I had a code for 25% off a new machine. This seemed to apply to the original purchase price of £199 as the discount was around £50.

I ended up getting the lot for £79.25. I’m assuming I’m not the only one with that code so worth checking and if you do get your butt to your nearest Nespresso store quickly!

If you don’t have the offer on your Nespresso account you can get a similar offer at John Lewis on a red machine (credit to BlueHorizonUK) Pitbikeboy has also advised that he used my receipt picture below to get John Lewis to price match the black machine.): johnlewis.com/nespresso-vertuo-plus-coffee-machine-by-magimix/red/p3343799?s_afcid=af_47868&tmad=c&awc=1203_1546163992_8ef2379222dd86bbae08ce484c2a459b&tmcampid=48

Vertuo uses different capsules, unlike standard Nespresso (which patents expired, and everyone can make it, which results in reasonable prices) can be purchased only from Nestle:
standard Nespresso capsule (already overpriced) - £0.33
new Vertuo - £0.39 - £0.60

good quality standard Nespresso compatible - between £0.20 and £0.30

It can adjust automatically amount of water based on the barcode. Old pods machines have 2 programmable buttons - small and big cup of coffee. So... yes, if your IQ is smaller than shoe size it could be possibly more convenient not being forced to do this horrible choice (no offence, it's just rhetorical)

Wow that’s a lot of anger and condescension over coffee pods!

Here’s the thing though, you’re speaking about what you think and I’m speaking as someone who’s tried all the capsules on both machines. So what you’re saying is an assumed stance and what I’m saying is an informed opinion.

The Vertuo absolutely gives a better brew to a higher temperature and has the convenience of not having to set different levels for when I want an espresso, lungo or to fill my travel cup.

Convenience is one of the most effective motivators in life and the new machine offers more convenience regardless of whether other companies have done it previously.

Also your post implied I’m likely to be of low IQ for enjoying that convenience. I’m a member of Mensa (incase you don’t know that’s the UK High IQ society) putting me in the top 1% of the population, so that kind of shoots your assumptions out of the water...

Erm I definitely haven’t purchased 1000 in a year. How do I check?

Same box I've just received with my machine, as a new member though. Brilliant bit of kit and the aerocinno 3 is a great addition.

Yeah since I used it at work I looked at my old one like last nights news. Different capsule sizes for different sized cups. Only down side is you need a stand-alone milk frother with this machine.
I think it’s a Nespresso offee on the vertuo as I’m not a big buyer of pods either but it’s given the discount

On the app, go into the "more " section. It's listed under my membership status.

Nice one. Try the machine out and if you don’t like it you’ll easy get £100 second hand for it.

Yeah but the new pods do make for a better brew, albeit the driving force behind the re-design was for a new patent protected pod. The convenience factor is also really good.

Interesting. So the price you paid is an absolute steal!
The photo in the posting made me think this was an Alexa enabled machine.

Alas
Been looking at ordering one of these for a while. Gutted it’s account specific! Anyone want to order me one

I don’t think it is account specific - add it to your basket and have a look

That’s really good, pity it’s only the red one at that price but will add it in to the main post if that’s ok.

Already did - because it's locked to one supplier which results in paying double price for the same coffee
Old pods type machines can do the same and you have a choice of pods from many suppliers starting from £0.16.
Obviously there is a drawback - every time when making coffee you have to make tricky decision which button (of two) to press.

You don't have to program machine every time. It's usually more than enough to program most used amounts of coffee, then use double press for double amount. This system works just fine in the office where the machine is used by 10 people with different preferences. By the way - you can always use button programmed for bigger amount and just stop water when it reaches your desired amount.
Congratulations on your Mensa membership. I'm not that lucky and have to rely on simple rules saying "double price for the same is not very good"

No but my existing machine has a built in milk frother which is a hassle to clean and the four buttons did not provide enough pre-programmed settings for my preferences factoring in milk based and water based coffees.

Bearing in mind I get a much better brew (in my opinion) from the new capsules I really don’t mind paying a bit more. Plus the coffee is piping hot where the old machine produced coffee somewhere between tepid and hot.

I get the fact you don’t want to be locked in to a monopoly, but I do suggest you try the coffee to understand that although the purpose behind the new capsules was almost definitely commercial. They have produced better capsules that produce better coffee (convenience element aside).
I am expert level but the 25% is not applied. I already have 2 of these machines for home and work, the best and cheapest way is the subscription where the machine costs £1, best only IF you drink say 100 capsules a month as your monthly payment is given back as Credit
Must be in store only as on my app shows as £199

I got mines from my local Nespresso Boutique.
Cool will pop in. For me this is not if you already own a machine also, as treat it as buying or getting free pods, as in just sell the machine for £80 easy.
I've owned the older small pod machine for 6 years and the new one for 2 years.
I can only recommend these machines and for the quality and cost per coffee it is well worth it.
The new machine does make a smoother, larger, top quality coffee and the pods are well worth the price compared to shop costs.
The reason why "compatible" pods are cheaper, is that they taste poor and are not of the same quality.

I prefer quality over quantity and would not have anything else.

The ops deal is a great deal, well worth looking in to.
Also the subscription packages are good value where you only pay £1 for the machine and the monthly charge (for 12 months) gos on your account as a credit for pods and accessories.
Posted a similar deal a couple of days ago, Amazon France were selling the krups machine for £70 delivered and then you can claim the 120 capsules through the nespresso website. I got lucky in that I did exactly this deal and when I popped into the nespresso store they had none in stock but they somehow messed up and sent me the free capsules without making a purchase but I lost my 25% discount, quickly complained (cheeky I know), they then gave me £35 credit. My new machine arrives from France tomorrow, where I will claim another 120 capsules. So for £70 I will have over 240 capsules and £35 credit. Let's hope they keep making this mistake!.

Thanks for for posting your receipt. I managed to get John Lewis to price match a black one.
I get the same deal on my account with Expert level. It's a good deal - not tried the Vertuo coffee yet, but if I didn't have around 200 standard capsules at home would probably go for it myself. Almost getting the machine for free.
Nespresso may seem overpriced for some but the coffee is very good quality, free recycling and delivery including Collect+ and also their customer service is really good (free replacement machines, long warranties, etc.)
Got mine from Trafford centre too. Nespresso shop have registered the machine and give me the pods straight away. Not bad for £75.25 for machine and 120 pods

I work for Nespresso and can advise that the 2 programmable buttons are meant to be used according to the type of coffee being drunk
If you wanted a Ristretto or Arpeggio to have more water you should use the smaller option then lose the capsule and add more 'clean' water. Running more water through the pod than intended distorts the taste of the coffee.
I prefer the vertuo - I had both machines and gave my classic away once I got my vertuo machine.
Much nicer coffee in my opinion.
Definitely recommend this over the classic
Until they had one of those bean to cup milk frother nozzles or increase the temp, I’m not interested. Problem is if you add cold milk the drink is so cold it’s not even drinkable. It only comes out at 62c, where a standard kettle will be 100c, or I set mine to 90.

So you’re forced to buy the milk frother thing, but it’s a massive pain in the butt to use and clean. I ended up just putting my machine in the bin, they are worthless second hand, not worth the effort of shipping.

However with a Bean to cup machine you have that nozzle that’ll froth up the milk and make it warm. So all you do is put the milk in your mug first, froth up your milk, then get your coffee. It’s easier, requires next to no cleaning and no extras.

One one thing that really annoys me about Nespresso. The smaller pod machines are no better because they have this built on milk container. You still have to clean it, it only has enough for two cups and it doesn’t keep the milk cold... it’s more of a hassle as well as it gets jammed up often.

I doubt theyll ever make a machine like what I want.

As for for the price of Coffee... I was spending like 30 quid a month on Pods. I mean it was cheaper than buying Beans for me and easier. I mean oh can buy cheap beans, but you’ll get coffee that tastes worse than Nespresso. If you buy expensive beans, you get better results, buy man it’s so expensive and you end up wasting a lot of it.
