I ordered 3 this morning from Google, usually they offer free next day delivery too, plus I get the 10% cashback as I'm a 2Tb Drive user. Great speakers, as I have 2 others at home already. Recommended at this price

Newbie question - are these just bluetooth speakers or is there more to them?

You can tell it to enter pairing mode and use it via bluetooth

Does anyone know if there is a "Battery Base" for these, to make them portable? I need something for music for bathroom/Ensuite.

I don't know for sure, but I'd be surprised. These are fairly chunky units, much bigger and heavier than the Nest mini.

Also same price at John Lewis if anyone prefers to c&c. Free delivery too.

As good as the old Home Max? Gutted when they stopped making them really fill a room

No but a pair isn't too far off but definitely less bass.

Thanks all who told me that this can in fact receive Bluetooth audio! I should've read the manual 😳

If looking to use in party mode....
I'd recommend a pair. The single speaker sounds good at low volumes, but not that loud when cranked up with bass lacking. Its way better in stereo mode.

Use mine daily now for music. Good sound quality

I am guessing you still cant connect these to the google tv (or any tv) to allow for surround sound/act as a tv soundbar?

    Can anyone confirm?

I have it connected to my Chromecast with Google TV through Bluetooth.

Can't seem to connect to more than one at a time which is a bit disappointing.
